I think we should make it clear to them that virtually no one will pay for it. Send Email objecting to their pigginess to: radio@mlb.com

I told them that not only would I not give them one red cent for Internet broadcasts, if they implment it I will never purchase anything with an MLB logo on it ever again. (In truth and in fact, it won't stop me from going to games, but. . .).

Effing Capitalism. what's next - MLB will charge a "small fee" for all those forums they took over?

As long as I can still get WABC and MSG I'm OK.
    I also like ESPN simulcast.

Someone has convinced MLB and the owners that revenue from the magic internet will be so huge as to make Alex rodriguez' contract a trivial expense.

In my estimation their efforts at internet instant wealth will end up as one of the bigest financial dissapointments and miscalculations in american business history.

When I read the comments that they are making about how big the internet baseball fortune will be I am taken aback by what sounds to me like a naive 17 yr old drop out salivating over a get rich quick pyramid scheme.

MLB is just plane wrong about their future revenues from the internet. They are hitching a ride to a rocket that has already taken off ( and has since crashed in flames). So many corporations have already learned that the internet does not spell automatic gigantic revenue.

It amazes me that a group of wealthy business people can be so easily be sold a questionable business plan.

I guess some software vending youngsters are laughing their butts off as they cash consultaing fee checks from MLB.
