Question...
I havent read Bill James' Baseball Abstracts, but I know he is very high on Craig Biggio. In fact, I believe that I heard that Bill James said that Craig Biggio should be in the Hall of Fame.
What is his reasoning behind this?

I don't remember James' argument specifically, but it probably centers around the idea that he's arguably the best 2nd baseman of his generation, along with Roberto Alomar.Originally posted by Pomp

Both have a career OPS+ of 117.
Career high OPS+: Alomar 149, Biggio 143
Alomar: .301/.372/.444
Biggio: .287/.375/.432
Alomar was also the better fielder. Personally, I'd take Alomar in his prime over Biggio, but it's close.
