Wow! What a confrontation with Kotchman. I must admit Pedro can get the out when he has to. I just may take a bit longer now.

Since I missed it... did Guillen act like a clown when Pedro hit him?

Kotchman swung at a couple of balls...he has only 2 walks in 68 at-batsthis year.
    Hoping Rivera can pitch forever!

    Fire Thomson now!!!

I wonder if John Kruk still thinks Jarrod Washburn is the best pitcher in the AL.

Always good to see Ortiz 'struggle' against those lefties...
Some great stuff once again from Youks tonight. This would be a great win if they can hang on.

That assumes that Kruk is capable of thought.

If the Angels can pull back to even, and it becomes a bullpen battle, I like the Angels' chances

  25. #75
I really can see this Angels team fading as the season goes on. Yes, they can bash. Yes, that bullpen is pretty damn good (although I have my doubts about Percival this year.) But their starting staff is just not that good. Is anyone afraid of Colon, Washburn, Lackey, Sele and Co.? I sure as hell am not.

Once Anderson and Salmon come back, they have the major league ready young players to trade for starting pitching.

Rich, they do have some young talent. But I don't see many arms out there who can really make a difference. I am really not sure Seattle will trade Garcia to the Angels, considering they play in the same division. Would Randy Johnson go to the Angels? Not sure. Other than that, who is really out there? Kris Benson? Nothing that would make a big impact IMO.

I think they have as good a chance of getting Randy Johnson (if he's available) as any team.

So Mondy gets his first hit as an Angel!

Damb, Kd the next guy on three pitches. I'll bet the Halos will come up empty here.
