Make-up game from April rainout. Don't know why they chose tomorrow.

because it was an off day for both teams......

No biggie for Baltimore but Sox then fly to Anaheim

Fenway Park goes dark now. For a while. No "Sweet Caroline." No "Dirty Water." No "Tessie" sweeping up on the big board while the Dropkick Murphys send everybody home with a smile. The only activity at the yard in the next 11 days will be the Sox grounds crew pondering where to put the World Series logo in the grass behind home plate. Dan Shaughnessy

First two Sox reach in the first with Ortiz and Manny up next. Doesn't look good for the Yankees falling back into a tie for first.

Anyone else see that curveball that Manny struck out on in the first, with two on?

That thing was an easy foot inside. That was one of the worst balls and strikes calls I've ever seen. Yikes.

I was shocked that Manny wasn't chirping about that.

I'm listening to the Orioles feed on MLB radio ... the Birds' announcers thought it was a breaking ball that just got the inside corner, so that the umpire could see it.

1-0 Orioles, after one and a half. Going out for coffee. Stay strong, Birds!

Hey, I just realized this thing is on ESPN2, so who needs MLB audio? I may watch a bit, when I get back.

I LOVE IT. Lowe is soooooo sooo bad. Red Sox fans are finally starying to realize that he isn't good.

He just loaded the bases loaded with no outs. HAHAHA

he then walked in a run, why was he still in. francona just took him out.

His blister was bleeding, and after everypitch he wiped the blood on his pants, you could see it. Why did Francona keep him in, poor managing decision. But if it helps us.....
while typing roberts got a three run double, baltimores up 7-0

The radio guys are claiming that Lowe busted a blister on his thumb. If that's the case then he should've been out prior to Hairston batting. A sinker ball pitcher can't grip the ball with a broken blister. That's on Francona...

Lenny DiNardo is getting smoked now...

Wow, I missed the Birds' offensive outburst! Hope they've used up all their runs for the week ... if, that is, Lopez and their pen can keep those Sox down ...

Derek bLowe has a blister, and Francona left him in....the more things change the more they stay the same!

I hope both teams use their entire rosters today...

Mark Bellhorn flies out. 1 out. David Ortiz walks. Pitcher Change: Darwin Cubillan replaces Rodrigo Lopez. Manny Ramirez walks. Varitek singles. Bases loaded.

How bad can the Birds' pen be? Lopez comes out after a walk in the sixth ... Cubillan walks Manny and allows a single to Varitek and the Sox have the bases loaded with only one out.

Does Derek Lowe know he's in his contract year?

Guess it wasn't Todd Walker's fault huh?

BTW, I think Lowe pitching THIS horribly does help the Sox in a way, as it assures they won't sign him and will wisely spend their money elsewhere. I knew it and said it before the season (and most Yanks fan agreed with me) that Lowe sucks and it would have been great if he had pitched just like last year - mid-4 ERA with a misleading win total, prompting the Sox to dump money on him and limit the chances of say, Varitek coming back.

That seems like a pipe dream now. But it is nice to see him get slaughtered every time he takes the ball.

They're saying that's why bLowe is pitching like this...'cause it is his contract year, and apparently he turned down a Boston offer in the spring....all speculation of course.... Could be 'cause he really does suck.

I liked watching his K in the first inning even better. Did you see how badly Lopez buckled his knees? I don't think I've ever seen Manny fooled like that before.
