    Marcus Giles collision, again

Marcus Giles and Andruw Jones had a nasty collision today. Giles broke his collarbone and has a concussion, he will miss 6-8 weeks. Andruw bounced right back up. Remeniscent of the Damon/Jackson of last year.

is it me, or does johnny damon seem to have a LOT of collisions with other people while playing CF? it's almost as if it's part of his contract, colliding with an infielder at least a few times each season.

if i recall correctly, he had 2-3 collisions last year (1 even in the playoffs) and already had another one at the beginning of this year during the first week.

what is up with this guy?

Well, so much for the Braves being back at full strength (like the Braves commercial they aired early Saturday ). Obviously, this may be the death blow in their playoff chances this year.

Apparently either Jones never called him off, or he didn't hear it.

Jones is 6-foot-1, 210 pounds while Giles is 5-foot-8, 180 pounds
    Ouch! Speedy recovery, Marcus!

The one from the ALDS was quite memorable, but I can't say I remember many others, although its quite possible given the amount of field he usually covers. He did take some nasty shots off the centerfield wall last year on catches. I remember one where he almost got spiked by one of those big screws that they hang the out of town scores on.
