I am trying to locate one of my former HS players who was hoping to be on the 40 man roster or at least invited to ML camp. His name is JAKE ROBBINS and he split time last year at Tampa & Norwich. Please post ANY information or opinions on his chances for this year.
I know very little about this kid, but he as 3-12 with a 5.43 ERA in a pitcher's league (AA Eastern League) last season, and is not in the Major League Camp this year, so I doubt he'll see Yankee Stadium in 2000. We'll have to see how he does this year in the minors. Sorry the news isn't better.
