It was a good pickup for the Jets even though I feel it was a bit of a reach. I think we could have traded down and maybe gained another 3rd rounder and still ended up with Vilma but all and all, I'm happy about this pick. Our third round draft pick was the real steal though. CB Derrick Straight who was considered one of the top 5 corners in the draft and was a low first rounder or high second rounder on a lot of mock drafts. He's gonna be good for years to come. I really can't believe he fell to us. It took Bradway all of about 2 seconds to select him when our 3rd round pick finally came around. I'm very pleased. Now, tomorrow we need to draft some OL help and a WR.
“I mean, people knew that Brown was out there, and that Randy was ornery all the time. And Pavano is whoever he is. But if you’re their manager, you can’t go out and write about them like that.

Yes I did. I could've sworn I was told he was going at around #25...

im a giant fan but your right on in your analysis. the jets got a steal all right in fact in a couple of years i wouldnt be surprised to see strait be the best corner to come out of this draft.

That would be nice. I don't know if he will be better then either Hall or Dunta Robinson, but he has the chance too. I think his 40 time is what made him slip as it wasn't that great. I really like his attitude and work ethic though. I am really happy with this pick though. It is the first time I can remember being really happy with a Jet pick and being able to call it a "steal"

Yeah yeah, but at least I finished a respectable 5th in the ESPN contest.

Speaking of steals, the Pats getting DT Vince Wilfork was grand larceny. He's a long-term answer at nose guard.

And why did the Dolphins give up a #4 pick to move up with the Vikes? Did they really believe that NE was taking Carey?

The Cowboys were smart trading out with the Bills.

    The Bengals still can't draft.

I like the Jets picks and their 7th the (LB from Miami) could be a terror on special teams.

Good job in the espn contest. Yes, the Pats getting Vince Wilfork was a great pick for them-and thats coming from someone who hates to give the Pats any credit. I would not have minded us taking Wilfork with the 12 pick but since we did not trade Josh Evans I think Vilma was the fight move.

The Cowboys made great moves except I thought they should have taken Steven Jackson.

You are right about the Bengals, they reached for most their picks, but I think they thought that they had a lot of picks so they wanted to get the guys they really wanted even if it meant reaching.

I am happy with the Jets picks. I actually did a full analysis of each of their picks and with about two left to do my computer froze so I guess I will do it later-very annoying.

Oh yeah, and the Lions were the winners of the draft getting a great WR in Roy Williams and a good RB in Kevin Jones.

I dont even think that was the Jets' best pick this year. I can't believe we got Derrick Strait in the 3rd round. What a steal!!!!
