Shoot, I knew it was wishful thinking to hope the Cubs would let him get to FA.
Global Warming and climate change hysteria could well represent the historical pinnacle of collective insanity.

The Cubs have a history of being cheap. If a deal isn't done by opening day, you will get your wish.

Wood is the type of pitcher that the Yankees covet - a high SO pitcher that will hide the deficiencies in their defense.

As a Stros fan, I'm glad he's back.

We flat out own Kerry Wood.

The only guy that remotely worries me is Prior.

Prior is a badass. But we can hit Kerry Wood (we beat him twice in the span of 9 days last year), and Dusty is going to run Zambrano into the ground before long. I'm not too worried about Clement either.

Why don't the Astros start off by getting into the playoffs first and then at least, win a playoff series for once in our lifetime.

He walks a ton of batters though. He would have had the fifth best K/BB ratio among starters on the Yankees, and that's not taking into account him pitching against pitchers.

Goodbye Gravy, Nash and Olson. You'll be missed.

Which is precisely why I am not worried one iota about Kerry Wood.

Now, Mark Prior is so good it is illegal.

Prior may end up being the greatest pitcher ever, or at least in the top 5. He strikes out a bunch of batters, has GREAT control. How many days until he's a free agent?
