I'll take the bottom three plus Barry Bonds and Ken Griffey, Jr. Kobe is a close sixth, though.

Why all the hate for Shaq and Kobe? Why? GO LAKERS.

Anyway, I devote a lot of my time toward hating other sports teams and figures, so this is going to be hard, since I've got way more than 5. Here goes.

    1. THE ENTIRE REDSKINS ORGANIZATION AND ALL THEIR FANS.
2A. Kevin Millar... He can be the figurehead through which I direct my hatred of THAT entire organization and all their fans as well... except my bf, but even that's debatable at various times during baseball season.
2B. BRETT FAVRE. Don't pull that whole "if you don't love Brett Favre you don't love football" deal out, because I've lived for football my entire life and hated Favre for almost half of it.
    3. Tim Duncan.
    4. Carmelo Anthony. HOOK 'EM HORNS.
    5. Kurt Warner. Watching him hold a clipboard was a beautiful thing this season.

JASON WHITE! Completely forgot about him. But as of now, he's a heisman flop too crappy to deserve my unmitigated hatred. We'll see next season.

Maurice Clarett's gotta be there somewhere too... dilemmas.

No way I can stop at 5. And I'm already reconfiguring.

    1. Redskins.
2A. Millah & Co. 2B. FAVRE, FAVRE, FAVRE, & co. (my bf is a fan of both of those... I think sometimes I hate him too.)
    3. MC NABB (How could I forget? I spend too many of my waking hours hating this guy)
    4. MIKE VICK. &po'd&
    5. Steve Spurrier... gets his own spot now that he's not a member of #1 anymore.
    6. Charles Woodson
    7. D-backs... have to watch them play the Dodgers 19 times a season. Hate them all.
8.San Antonio Spurs, especially Duncan and Parker. Just
    9. Mike Bibby.
    10.David Eckstein. (Maybe I'm a bad person for this. I don't care.)

Honorable mention: Jamal Lewis, Hines Ward, Tommy Maddox, Josh Beckett... he belongs on that list somewhere but I don't know where yet, Anna Kournikova although she never really counted as being a "sports figure", Tara Lipinski, starting to hate Teddy Bruschi, and there is a spot reserved right behind Mike Vick for Jake Plummer, who I had to remove because he is QB'ing the Broncos.

You're asking why we hate Shaq and Kobe, a classless, moody thug and his butt rapeing pal, but you put the most gentlemanly NBA player at the #3, one of the nicest young rookies at #4, one of the classiest quarterbacks ever at #2? Please explain.

Nah, I realize anyone who's not a Lakers fan hates those two. Heck, my bf's a diehard Lakers fan, and even he has always hated Kobe. To each his own... Most can be explained by my mostly TX/CA sports affiliations, but for one reason or another (or many many reasons for some), everyone on the list just rubs me the wrong way.

for #5, you can stick any finanacially secure athlete who puts salary over team loyalty in that slot.

it's more of a part rob johnson/part bills organization for choosing him over Doug Flutie. I'll make Rob Johnson the scapegoat, since he was the one playing the games. he has never done anything significant in the pros. While Doug Flutie is getting old, he was still a decent quarterback a couple of years ago

I don't mind it, I just think they should tack on someone...along the lines of, I don't know, ME, at the end, "If I were you, I wouldn't throw so many dumb interceptions in key games." Being able to laugh heartily at his, "d*mn, my magic has run out" look he gets on his face at those times is what's PRICELESS if you ask me.

Insert almost any player for the Pats, Sox, Celts, Packers, or UNC Tar Heels in the 5th spot.

Millar and Favre... we must be soulmates or something. It takes a rare type of person to hate Favre. I guess we are just cool like that.

So you were probably happy with Cameron Diaz's decision in Something About Mary

I don't know, never saw that movie... after "Any Given Sunday," which is a disgrace to the sport, I can't stand her either.

As for her, she did something inappropriate/unethical during a match w/Serena Williams at the French Open.
