I'm shocked there is nothing about Schwarzenegger in here, GwG.

You are incorrect, none of these games are a Schwarzenegger game.Originally posted by nyyfanatic85

I think the first one is Dragon Quest or something like that... The third one is Contra.
Up-Up-Down-Down-L-R-L-R-select-start
Yep, the third is Contra and the second is Resident Evil (BioHazard).
A part ça, Contra 3 on SNES was one of my favourite ! It was great..

Correct on both, its Dragon Quest in Japan, and Dragon Warrior in the U.S. For the Contra code, I think its actually Up-Up-Down-Down-L-R-L-R-B-A-select-start or subract the select if 1 player. I have never tried the code w/out using the B and A button in it, but maybe it works either way/Originally posted by bakntime

most of the non-baseball "games" go here, for future reference.
I really thought the first one was Zelda, and for Contra it's..
up-down-up-down-left-right-left-right-a-b-select-start
highly addictive game

Resident Evil, I should've known....I was thinking House of Dead or Silent Hill or something.
If that's not Zelda then the makers of that game should be sued for blatant thievery.Originally posted by Bozidar

It's actually a lot different than Zelda. It was one of the first RPG games (that I know of) that actually had a "battle mode" for encounters with enemies, similar to the way the Final Fantasy games worked.Originally posted by patrick.o

I'm not positive, but I also think that in Japan, Dragon Warrior (Quest) came out before Zelda.
Here's another one to figure out: (original NES)
One more (Atari 2600):
They did come out first, I dont see what the big hype is on Zelda, because compared to Dragon Warrior, the original Zelda was a step below. Zelda is a good game, but there is so much more you can do on Dragon Warrior, and all 3 of its sequels for Nintendo. There are more people to speak w/, more towns to visit, more enemies to fight, etc, etc.Originally posted by bakntime

Im not 100% sure, but I'd say Metroid, the one below is E.T.Originally posted by bakntime

I agree with that. It has to be Metroid.
--> absolutely, and when he turns the head, he has plenty of blood on his mouth. And, in japan version, you can see him ripping the head of the S.T.A.R.S. guy, then the head falling on the floor.that zombie is from the first Resident Evil game, he was the first zombie you face in the mansion
In other versions, you only see a bit of blood running down the floor... But you don't see the head. However, I'm not sure, I can be wrong.![]()
Regarding Contra on GBA, you can find everything you need here :

And this one ?
Both on Sega Master System...

The first one looks like something from Japan, I have no clue. I dont know of many racing games for Sega, I'd guess Pole Position for the 2nd one. If no one gets them in a day or so I may be able to w/ a hint.Originally posted by SwissYankeesFan

Thanks for that link, I'll try to beat that game now. have you played any of the other Resident Evil games? I love 1 cuz of the mansion, but part 2 is good too since that police station has some creepy stuff in it. I have part 3 as well which I like, even though Nemesis kept showing up at all the wrong times. Ive just started playing Code Veronica X, its ok but I dont like running low on ammo so fast. I hear a new one is coming out in April.Originally posted by SwissYankeesFan

Well, I will help you because it's kinda hard...
The first one is "Aztec Adventure", one of the most ugly game of all times and the second one is "Fire & Forget 2", from Titus, which is not that bad...
Yeah, I've played the very first one so many times !!! I just love it ! I know every little part of it ! Regarding the second one, I agree with what you say, the police station becomes so scary but SO GOOOOOD ! It's good to burst some zombie's heads...have you played any of the other Resident Evil games?![]()
But I stopped after this episode because I think there are too many monsters... It's not as interesting as the old ones...
Dont' you think ?

i think the surprise at the end was that the person took their helmet off, and it was a girl, when most boys thought it in their head that it was a guy.
AHH!!! METROID!!
You have no idea how much work time i just wasted looking that up..

Here's a question for those of you good at this sort of thing... and, no, I don't know the answer -- that's why I'm asking!
Anybody remember an arcade game from maybe 1986 or 1987? You played a spy kinda like James Bond and you got to run, duck, and shoot at people. In the opening levels there was a two-story building and you had to clear both stories before moving on to the next level. Your character was graphically kinda tall & skinny. I can't remember what it was called but it was such a fun game to play. It came out after Spy Hunter and never came close to even 1/4 the acclaim of Spy Hunter but it was still cool... If you remember the name, please let me know!
Was Dragon Quest available on the original Macintosh? The graphics look strikingly familiar to some game I played on that old machine...Originally posted by Gooden was Good

I wouldve never guessed either game even w/ hints since I havent played them. I liked Resident Evil 3, but the 4th one, Code Veronica X is a little out of hand. I couldnt put the 1st 3 games down, but I dont have much insterest in the 4th. I still like the series, but nothing will top the 1st one and that mansion. I remember feeling scared every time I entered a new room in that game. If the new one in April is boring, I will probably quit on the series. I havent played Silent Hill yet, so I will probably start on those next.Originally posted by SwissYankeesFan

I am not sure, but I doubt it. Besides Nintendo in the US, I only remember hearing about it being on Famicom, which was Japan's Nintendo. Those games werent even on Sega.Originally posted by penfold
