What pitcher holds the record for consecutive scoreless innings?
And whose record did he break?

Orel Hershisher? I know he had a long streak of (50+?) shutout innings while he was with the Dodgers. I believe it was Whitey Fords record he broke.

Hershisher's record is 59 2/3 innings, set in the Dodgers' pennant drive of '88. The record had been held by Don Drysdale.
