    De Paula's debut

How come nobody has mentioned that De Paula made his major league debut on Friday and shutout the hot hitting Sox for the final two innings. This is very good news. Quit focusing on Henson folks. He is no longer a top prospect and their are other guys who have just been called up and have a future with this team. Michel Hernandez also made his ML debut yesterday catching the 9th and drawing a walk. I hope he gets every opportunity to be Posada's backup next year.
    Bring back Ted Lilly!

it was a solid debut, every ball was hit solid, he`s a middle inning mop up guy at the most.

I'm sure he was nervous. I would like to see him get more appearances...when the Yankees have a big lead.

Double decision: Torre and Stottlemyre have not decided who will start the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against Tampa Bay, but it will be either Jeff Weaver or Jorge DePaula.

"We haven't decided," Torre said. "We still have a week to make that decision. We could go either way."

Depaula is not a big guy. Anyone know the kind of workload he is accustomed to? Just wondering if keeping him in the pen would be more advantageous to him and the yankees rather than throwing more innings at him by starting.

He's solid though - pitched 165 innings or so this year. Pitched 150 last year.
