well then just say that, and quit getting on my ass about it

I tend to agree with you about changing the rules for next year, but there could be loud and warranted objections to those changes because people have made their decisions based on the rules set forth in the blueprint.

For me, it's easy. I'm playing to win THIS year, so my decisions are all based on THIS year, but i can totally understand people like Steve having strong and well founded objections to any rule changes that ................ him over.

Well, that's all true, but let's all agree that the only reason patrick.o is a threat right now was because he drafted first, ok? And the only reason i'm a threat is because my dick did my drafting for me.. can we agree?

I was talking Soriambi about this, and he feels we shoud put it in the Blueprint that my dick be banned from the proceedings. I can't say as you'd have a lot of trouble passing that little bit of legislation.

What could be changed that could ................ me over? The only way I see it is that it does me better. If we do the backwards order thing I get a good pick. If we lessen the penatly for the keeper down to 1 round, I'm in better shape. If we all get the same amount of keepers, it doesn't affect me. The only thing that would ................ me over is being able to keep a first rounder. Then I'd have a huge problem.

Well, for instance a rule change that drastically increases the value of pitching over hitting. you kept 2 hitters so far, and are giving away pitching.

see what i mean? and i haven't even thought about it hard yet..

That might result in the first unanimous survey ever!

Here's what I think should happen:

This weekend I will post a PRELIMINARY Blueprint for the 2004 season. In it I will include a league structure and keeper rules as indicated by this season's rules COMBINED with the discussions we've been having as the season progressed. This will NOT be the rules that I want, or that anyone necessarily wants - they will just be a starting point for discussions. So I'll include a new points scheme that we can haggle over, as well as the current league structure (since no-one seems to have a problem with that right now).

Any item that anyone has a problem with, they should start a discussion thread on the subject. By the time the season ends in September, we should either have reached a consensus, or arrived at two or three options that we can hold a survey on to arrive at a decision. The preliminary Blueprint can then be altered as we make decisions in order to reflect the plans for 2004 and beyond.

However, since I will be on holiday from next Tuesday, I would ask that someone else come forward to take charge of this procedure for a few weeks - it can be one of the assistant commishes, or anyone else who wants to get involved. All you need to do is check the Forum once a day or so, participate in any ongoing discussions, and make sure that all the implications of changes are being discussed.

Does this sound reasonable to anyone?

Well, I think before Sax spends all that time drawing up new rules and discussions, should we vote on whether or not we should change the rules at all for 2004.
