On this day in 1905, outfielder Frank Huelsman was traded for the fifth time in eight months, ending up with Washington. He went from St. Louis (Cardinals) to Chicago to Detroit back to Chicago (both times, this was the White Sox) to St Louis (Browns) to Washington.

And listed last, to separate them as far as possible from those with whom they really don't rank at all (though I like Dave a lot), Dave Winfield and Kirby Puckett were elected to the Hall two years ago today.

I remember that Whitey said that he was glad that he didn't get elected in his first year of eligibility so that he could go in to the HOF with the Mick.

Bet they had a heck of a party the night before their initiation.
