Braves Victory!!!!!

No.... of course we all know that the Giants will move on and the Braves are done. I just thought I'd share something with you all that "tickles" me, big time.

As many of you know, I live in SW Georgia... the heart of Braves country. In an attempt to snatch a victory out of the jaws of defeat, many of my Braves-loving friends down here are of the attitude that their season was a success because:

"We lasted longer than them damned Yankees!" Yep, that's right. Still reeling from the devastating defeat they suffered in their last WS vs. NYY, these folks are soooooo thrilled that the Yankees went down FIRST (4 games) in their ALDS, and the Braves went 5 games in their losing effort. A small victory for Braves fans, but a victory non-the-less.

It's amazing how "In their heads" we Yankees are. Gotta love it!

Hmm, well if it's OK to go hunting for "victories" when you're knocked out of the first round of playoffs, then ...

The Braves had 101 regular season wins, plus 2 in the playoffs = 103.

The Yankees had 103 regular season wins, plus 1 in the playoffs = 104.

That's it. I give up on the Braves offense. I finally came to realize that we have none.

You have no idea how happy I am that I don't have to hear that damn music after every friggin pitch. I swear, if the Braves would have made it to the WS I wouldn't have watched it because of that. Drives me crazy!!!!! Not to mention we don't have to watch that shmuck rock back and forth anymore.

I'm happy today.
