Yanks lose to a respectable opponent

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm very happy for the Anaheim Angels right now.

Last season the cockiness of the D-Backs just made the losing so much more painful.

I'm crushed that the Yankees season is over but these guys played much better and to this point I haven't sensed a bit of cockiness or bad attitude.

    Congrats to the Halos

I'm not quite ready to be "happy" for the Angels yet, but I absolutely agree that this Angel team WON this ALDS....

By that I mean that it needs to be recognized that yes, our pitching was a problem, but the reason they won wasn't just because we were bad, it was MORE because..... they were GREAT.
Great hitting, very good pitching, clutch clutch clutch playing.

So, ... no... I can't be "happy" for them yet, but I DO congratulate them and their fans.
They beat us. They more than beat us... they handed us our hats and kicked our butts.
.Of all the things in life I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

I'd say the Yankees sucked more than they were great, and not just in the "pitching".

Losing the 1997 ALDS was much respectable than this debacle.

In a perfect world the Twins go to the Series and lose to the Cards.

IRONIC NOTE: If the Angels lose in the ALCS they do NOT get a pennant to hoist Opening Day; the Yankees do.

The Yankees won the AL East. So I guess we get to raise a flag for that.

I could be more ready to congratulate the clearly better team on their win, if it hadn't been for that stadium full of red clad monkey loving red dildo waving freaks. Because of them, I hope the Angels are swept in the next round.

I've always respected Percival's talent as a closer, and I thought that in the AL, he's second only to Mo. But the plunking of Sori was uncalled for (too bad Jeter couldnt have come through........)
