    Update on Ted Lilly

Lilly will be back soon. He's started throwing and traveling with the team again, and barring a setback he should be ready by mid-September. The A's have a few days off between now and then, so they'll probably go with a four-man rotation until Lilly gets back.

Hope all goes well for Ted. I have a feeling we will face him in the playoffs in some shape or form. Whether he starts or comes out of the pen is another question?

I wish Ted lots of luck in Oakland. Hopefully he'll establish himself as the fourth starter and establish himself out there. Playoffs, however, are an entirely different issue. If we play Oakland in October I won't wish him any luck...instead I'll be wishing for 3 1/3 IP, 10 H, 8 ER.

I'd rather NOT face him. He was absolutly crushed because he was traded- I would hate to see his anger turn into extra skill against US in a hypothetical postseason game.
No, I'd rather not face him or the A's.

    I'd prefer 8 R 0 ER

Good luck Ted ,coming back, and see you in Oct. He'll be in the bullpen for the playoffs, unless something happens to their top 4.

Hopfully he can sign with the Yankees when he becomes a free agent in a few more years.

Since the day he was traded, I've dreaded the thought of facing him in the post season. As I said before, I wish him tremendous luck against everybody - except The Yankees. I would love to get him back!

Me too. I want the Yankees to win but him to pitch well. Or he could pitch six innings and then leave and they'll score seven or eight in the seventh after he leaves...

Good luck Ted! (except I don't want you to get the win)

He's not a Yankee and that's the bottom line. It's not even like the guy was a longtime yank, or had some great yankee moments. He's a nice kid and all, but should he pitch against the yanks, he's gotta go down.
