who started for Cincinnati the other day? I recognized the last name right away, but wasn't sure it was the same guy until they DL'd him today. The name stands out huge when you consider that we are about to spend another weekend in the rusting hulk in Queens, and finish up there on ESPN Sunday night.
The guy was Carlos Almanzar, who gave up the Piazza bomb after we took a huge lead and bled it all away through the night as Joe tried one ineffective reliever after another. He had decided to not use Mo (I only wish he had that choice this time around), and although we had a great weekend and the season was progressing well, the embarassment on national TV left a bad taste in most Yankee fan mouths.
