    Need help with an article....

I'm writing an article for my school paper that lists the top ten things to count on this season. So far I have:

    -Orioles will lose 100 games
-Schilling and Johnson will both win 20
    -Bonds will walk 200 times
-The Expos will draw less than 600,000 fans, dead last in the MLB
-The Texas Ranger clubhouse will erupt
-The Yankees will win 100 games
-Mo Vaughn won't play in the postseason
-The Diamondback's swimming pool will be dry in late October
    -
    -

    I need two more! help...

    Detroit Tigers won't win 50.
Nick Johnson will be HBP more than any other player in either league.

    Bud Selig will be impeached!

The Marlins' Dale Torborg (a.k.a. The Demon) scared Antonio Alfonseca so much that the Marlins will have him sit in the dugout in full costume to try to intimidate opposing teams.
(P.S. It will only work against the Cubs. Don Baylor will bring Alfonseca in to pitch, Alfonseca will take one look at Torborg and he'll run into the clubhouse and lock himself in the bathroom. After several unsuccessful attempts to coerce Alfonseca out of the dugout, the umpires will award the game to the Marlins.)

Good one. But will it really happen? I'm not so sure....

Oh, I just got one. The new rules created to shorten the legnth of games won't be enforced.

I can't have too many statistical "things to count on" They are a bit boring. Need more ideas!!

    gee.......... you're welcome.

    (what am I, invisible?)

Maybe you should have mentioned that only people you know need reply.... I could have saved myself some keystrokes.

Or that after all of your examples were statistical, you no longer wanted additional statistical responses.

Oh no way! I'm not a BB.com Asskisser! Hell no.

I guess the Tigers not winning 50 and is good, but nobody where I live really cares about the Tigers and none of the morons that go to my school know Nick Johnson...yet.

Trust me, nobody is "invisible" to me. I gave your post thought and would have quoted it along with DiMag's but I don't know how to quote two people in one post...

    Here are mine:

    1) Oakland and Seattle tie for first in their division, tiebreaker is set for October 1, 2002.

    2) Mark McGwire makes a remarkable return to baseball, hitting 15 home runs within a span of the last two months: August and September.

Do you think it's safe to say there won't be a team under .500 in the AL West and the Yanks will be the only team ABOVE .500 in the AL East?

Thanks for all the ideas. I got my article.

No... the AL West have 4 good teams, no Devilrays or Pirates in this Division, but they play against each other also quite often... not safe

Only the Yankees above 81wins in the AL East ? If it's not the RedSox then the Bluejays will have at least 81 wins...
