How does Tampa Bay, Minnesota, Philadelphia & Atlanta make the wild card and my Pack doesn't, according to your predicted W/L records? Actually, how do FOUR teams make wild cards?

Six teams from each conference make the playoffs. The three division winners plus three wild cards. The top two seeds get a bye the first round.

Jets wont be 12-4 unless they play Miami 6 more times.
If Pittsburg is 13-3 they wont be a Wildcard team.

In fact your whole playoff format is wrong. There are 3 levels of playoffs before the Superbowl, and 2 teams get byes in each conference.

And the Jets wont beat MY Raiders either...

I only know the Lions, with their luck, just might be 0-16...

Two problems with your picks (irrespective of the actual predictions for the individual teams):

    1. You have too many teams in the playoffs. Only 6 from each conference, not 8. There are a total of 4 playoff games in the first round, and 4 in the second round. 2 conference championship games then follow. So you have too many playoff games as well.

    2. Also, the records you predict for all teams are not mathematically possible (to happen together, that is). In short, you have too many wins and too few losses.

Here's why. There are a total of 248 games played in the NFL regular season. (31 x 29 /2 = 248) So if you add up the total number of wins they should be 248, as should be the losses (assuming no ties). But you have a total of 254 wins, against 201 losses, which is impossible anyhow.

Why don't you re-group and try again.
