Hi Jim...I am a Met fan.I would hope that statement would not be grounds for banishment from your site.I feel that unless profanities are used,which I hate on a forum,this should be an exchange for followers of this team,friend or foe.When a site has nothing allowed except vanilla posts with blind fans praising all that is Yankee,what's the point? A little ribbing and kidding about team rivalries make the NY fans what they are;funny,interesting,controversial and adverserial.Preaching to the converted is at best boring.Please show some restraint and humor in realizing that we are fans.The players are merely characters in a fan created world.Your dictatorship methods concerning the beloved Yankees are a drag!

Actually no one wants to banter with fans of other teams here, we seek educated yankee discussion. If you want banter go over to mlb.com, no one here wants to read that garbage. And none of us are "blind", the yankees are the best team in baseball its a proven fact, we can all admit when someone is better, there just isnt anyone. We all post here because we want to get away from the mindless banter of opposing fans who can never understand our point of view. No, being a Met fan is not grounds for revocation of posting privelages at Bronx-Bombers.com. I'm sure you already read what the grounds are since you read them and agreed to them before you signed up. If you hadn't agreed to them, you wouldn't have been able to register. So I'm not seeing where the problem all of the sudden is? If for some reason you've forgotten what these grounds are, please see the link in my signature.

I am very intrigued to see what my "dictatorship methods" are. And if they were that much of a drag, why did you sign up? That didn't turn you off right away upon your first several visits to the forum?

Sorry but your post was a laugher. If you had read any of the millions of threads here, you would see that there are no "Vanilla posts with blind praise". Check out any one of the Tino vs. NJ threads. The Wita-suck threads. If you honestly think that they are blindly praising all that is good and Yankees, then you have obviously not read much of this site.

The people that post here are intelligent baseball fans. We have discussions where everyone's opinion is voiced and not always agreed upon.

From what I have seen, if your account is nuked. It is done so because it was deserved. Deliberately attacking people posting and baiting them into arguments is ridiculous, just like this post has done. I don't think that there is anyone on this board that will disagree with this but many of the Mets fans that have registered here in the past few days have not been like what you are describing, with a little ribbing, etc. They have been annoying little people who just want to start an argument.

With over 2000 members, there are many opinions. In my opinion, Jim is not nuking the accounts of all Mets fans but if you show questionable behavior on the board, he will. The people who are on this board every day appreciate what he does in all aspects of this site. Keeping the message boards full of fun, interesting, controversial and most of all, intelligent conversations is greatly appreciated.

I don't know if this is a reply to me but no you don't have to "root root root for the home team" just be able to discuss baseball intelligently. See rainman's posts. He's an ardent Mariner fan who was able to have an intelligent discussion with us. But if you just say Yankees suck to everything, then yeah, posts like that are garbage. Posts like the one below, attacking other forumers, are the ones not appreciated. Especially by me.

I don't have a problem with other team's fans coming here (as my previous post might have implied), if they come here to discuss the Yankees or Major League Baseball. But if they come here with the sole intention to attack the Yankees, Yankee fans, and just cause problems in general (as this clown has done), they should be banned.

This guy has come here with only bad intention, and I urge you to dismiss him before he gets the satisfaction of causing chaos.

Disagreements with the popular view are grounds for banishment? Are you kidding me? As cdmirra said, apparently you haven't read much of this site if that's what you think! There are people here who think Chuck Knoblauch sucks, others who love Chuck, some who want Tino re-signed, others who want his ass booted out of town and Giambi signed, some who think the Yankees will sweep the D'backs, others who think it will be a tough series... etc... In other words there are a lot of diverse opinions and many times there are heated disagreements. Frankly, some of the Mets boards I read are a lot more close-minded than anything that goes on here.

You seem to think that being a fan of another team means you aren't welcome to post here. However, we have fans of the Red Sox, Orioles, Indians and other teams who are active members. In fact there are also a number of Mets fans who registered the past few days who weren't banned. I wonder why that is?

We don't all agree or share the same opinions but this is first and foremost a site for Yankees fans. How can posters expect that they can come in here just to cause trouble, insult the team and Yankee fans and think that Jim and the other moderators aren't going to so something about it? And then whine about being banned. I guess anything for attention, right?

exactly. Jim -- I think you've done a terriffic job managing the influx of all the anti-Yankee posters.

I don't have a problem with guys from other teams that want to debate baseball, then AWESOME!! Lets do it!! If you want to debate the Yankees, then Jim has this neat little thing called "Yankee Discussion". Want to debate the Mets, or Mariners? "Around the Majors". Want to talk frankly, in an unmoderated way? "Sports Bar" Want to instigate people and be annoying? "MSGNetwork.com", "Yankees.com" both have boards for this.

I think other teams' fans have options.. it's just that the influx we've gotten of them have been the kind that are immature, and just trying to be 'trolls'.

Anyway, I knew exactly who you were. And there was another user name that you used that got banned too - and that one only got banned because you started using your current nick, and only one registration is allowed per user. It is unfortunate, because that one posted a decent thread.

When someone comes to this site, and their first post is "Please lose so we can enjoy baseball again!", it is obvious that they are here to cause trouble, and are dealt with accordingly. Whoever decided to revoke your posting priveleges made the appropriate decision.

Had you said anything substantial, we wouldn't be having this conversation right now.
