Bob Turley of the Yankees pitches 6 2/3 scoreless innings in relief to beat the Milwaukee Braves 6-2 in game 7 of the World Series. The Yankees become the first team since 1925 to win the World series after being down three games to one.

I remember that series and final game very well. I was a student in college...Seton Hall University and along with several buddies, from the New York area were watching the game on a black and white tv. We probably were missing some classes but didn't care because this game was too important and classes could wait. I felt the tension because we had to come back from being down three games to one but felt tremendous pride in this Yankee team for what they achieved. Turley had a tremendous series... winning game 5 with a complete game victory, saving game 6 and coming back to win game 7 in relief! Can you imagine a pitcher doing that today!!

    10 years before I was born, but I wish I'd seen it ... even in B&W !

What other teams have come back from a 3-1 deficit in the WS?

The only other team I can think of is the '85 Royals, who were down 3-1 in both the ALCS and the WS.
And I don't see anyone duplicating Turley's feat.
