Did Anybody hear what Irabu did?

On ESPN news wire I read a story today that Irabu got so drunk before his last re hab start for Ottawa that not only could he not pitch they had to rush him to the hospital.IRABU of course was then suspended with out pay for violating the terms of his contract, the EXPO'S STATE THEY WILL NOT BE PICKING UP HIS OPTION FOR NEXT YEAR! P.S. The trade for Lilly, Parker and Westbrook looks like even more of a steal now.

Think about it who would you rather have? At least Lilly showed up tonite ,mabee he shouldn't have but I think with a good year of major league pitching under his belt he'll be ready to help us next year.

at least Westbrook helped get us Justice..

In my opinion Lilly doesn't have what it takes to be a MLB pitcher, let alone a #5 starter..

He needs focused agression. If you don't have it by 25, you're never getting it...

If I looked like a fat toad I would get drunk before appearing in public too.

Irabu is a big guy. It must have taken a lot of alcohol to get him into the hospital. I bet I could out-drink him at the young age of 17.

    * Mmmmmmmm, that bottle of Jack Daniels at Aunt Jane's wedding was sweet *

I had a party the day we got rid of Irabu. NO JOKE. That guy was pathetic. He served up homers at a rapid pace. Quikcer than he drank his beers. I couldn't take that guy. Something had to be done with him. He was a laughing joke. I laughed at Mets fans when they couldn't sweep the Yankees b/c they lost the rubber game to Irabu. I'm sorry but I would have paid the Expos to take him. He had 1 good start and that was his debut vs. the Tigers. Everyone thought he would be great. I am just so glad he is gone.

I was at YS this Summer and watched Irabu pitch a fairly decent professional game - and HE WASN'T FAT ANYMORE. He must have lost 40 pounds, and was almost unrecognizable!!

What drove him to drink? Maybe he heard some rumor that he was being traded to the Red Sox....
