Did anyone hear what happened to Manny?

He left the game today with the trainer, could it be a hamstring problem again? I hope he recovers soon, 2 months should do it!

Ramirez leaves game with right hamstring strain

    August 19, 2001
BOSTON (AP) -- Manny Ramirez left Boston's game against Baltimore on Sunday in the seventh inning with a strained right hamstring.

Ramirez, 3-for-4 with a grand slam in the game, left after running out a hit in the seventh.

The team said his status is day-to-day.

Ramirez's grand slam was his first for the Red Sox and his 38th home run of the season. He's hitting .310 with 109 RBIs.

    Here's what I have on Manny's hammy:

    ESPN, Boston Globe.

I don't have any other info, other than, of course, Boston blew a 6-1 lead so we're still 5 up.

Pods hit a slammy in the '98 WS but still got swept. Nothing could be worse than that.

They don't call him "Hammy" Ramirez for nothing!

Pods never hit a slami in 98 ws's, unless it was in another galaxy.

Yep. Tino had the slam in that series. BTW, of the seventeen slams hit in World Series play, eight were hit by Yankees.

If you're talking about the Curse of the Balboni, that actually kicks in at 36. Better watch out, Tino has a chance to hit 36 this season if he gets his home run stroke hot again.
