    I am going to start a series of Yankees World Series Trivia chronologically from 1921 on up.

    YANKEES vs. GIANTS

    1. Whose bunt single gave Waite Hoyt a 3-1 win in game 5 ?

    Carl May's...the only pitcher in baseball history to KILL a player with a beanball...but hey...that's baseball...

    Da Babe. He was supposedly "too injured to play." He scraped his elbow up and it got infected, so when he kept on playing everyone thought he was faking it.

    5. Who grounded into a 4-3-5 double play to end the series ?
    I think it was the Babe again, pinch-hitting.

    7. Who was the umpire who called game two (3-3 tie) because of darkness, even though there was 45 minutes of daylight left ?
    I'll take a wild guess and say Bill Klem, because he's the only ump I know from this era. (PS, that was in 1922!)

    8. Who was the Yankee Pitcher who went all the way in that game, the only tie in Yankees history ?
    I think it was "Bullet Joe" Bush.

    What was Bill Klem's nickname?

    CATFISH. Yes, long before Jim Hunter. But Klem got it - and hated it - because he had lips like a catfish.

    Babe Ruth was an all around baseball player. If the situation called for a bunt, he bunted...

    There were times when the 2nd baseman would play him in short right field...so he would bunt...

    I have a couple of questions about #4 and #6. I was reading an account of the series in the MLB encyclopedia, and it mentioned that Bob Meusel had missed 1st when he thought that he had a triple. Also, the stats showed that the Yanks hit only 2 HRs for the entire series; Babe Ruth and Chick Fewster.
