LOL this is the league we play in today.
Lucky that Moore isnt all that good. Good covering by our deep backs though.

A defense that stiffens inside the 30....opposite of last season

Nice pitch and catch from Eli to his fave target....2nd and a few yards.

lets go d.....
I just love this receiving corp. Smith is the Toomer-esque Mr. Reliable, Manningham can make big plays, and Nicks is quickly turning into a true #1. Add in reserves including Cruz and Barden, and it's hard not to be optimistic.
On an unrelated note, NFL Red Zone is awesome.

just a shame that our RB's cant deliver anything to this game. our OL hasnt been helping either.Originally Posted by rpbri2886
No pressue and underneath routes...not a good combination to end a half with short field.
Pathetic from our defense there...Specials teams didnt help but the D cant give up a TD there.
"Owning the Yankees," Steinbrenner once said, "is like owning the Mona Lisa."
Crappy way to end the half.
AWFUL choke job by the defense on that last possession. Yeah lets leave their ONLY WR threat wide open.

The defense is partly to blame, but it's hard not to point a finger at Special Teams for setting up the Panthers with excellent field position on nearly every possession.
Much like last year.Originally Posted by dadrumma

How do you not double Smith on that play? The safety should be over the top there. He's their ONLY WR threat.

the fact that we're only down by 2 points is amazing. just watching the first half, we could easily be down by a few td's. special team, OL, RB's and defense better step it up in the second half.

TT got burned and Phillips a tad late. Special teams sucks
ugh bad way to end the half...need to play better on special teams and get the running game going..

and Dodge might have the 2nd half of the game to save his ass here. Shame because he was punting better late in the preseason.
No pass rush.
No running game.
Horrible special teams.
Receivers who drop easy passes.
Deja Vu, anyone?
We do not see things as they are. We see them as we are.
It is never too late to be what you might have been.
Jacobs!!!!! Good call Gilbride!!
And then playaction to follow it up..Gilbride must be controlled by someone else here.
And then using the RB in the passing game for short gains...what are my eyes seeing here!!

Yes I think Gilbride is calling a good game. Love his use of playaction....he usually treats the playaction like the plague but he's using it a ton today. Good job by him.Originally Posted by b_joseph

You can't see the ball. How can they overturn it here.
