I'm a pretty big Rutgers fan, alumni, season ticket holder etc. and the general consensus in the fand I've chatted with is that the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers will most likely be headed to the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium.
Pinstripe Bowl takes the #4 team from the Big East.
The way I see it, Rutgers will very likely go either 7-5 or maybe 8-5 which would put them smack dab in the middle of the Big East with a very strong possibility of being 4th in the Big East.
The only way this might not happen is if RU loses enough games so as to go bowl ineligible (unlikely) or then win the Big East outright (even more unlikely - maybe next year though).
Therefore, I think we're looking at Rutgers coming up the turnpike in the dead of winter to fill Yankee Stadium with red.
From a football perspective, it kind of sucks but on the other hand with a game that close, Rutgers will fill The Stadium and it should be a pretty good time instead of an irrelevant game with two random teams.
Anyway, this is my first post so hi to all my fellow Yankee fans.
