I got a Droid X about two weeks ago and I love it, but I have no clue what I'm doing with it.
I want to do all sorts of neat things, but I have no idea where to start, so any advice, tips, etc would be great to hear from more experienced users.
I'm interested in even the most basic things, as I have no clue what is even considered basic.
Synching, backing up, Apps, etc. I'm a blank canvas.
Two things to show how novice I am:
1) I went to ESPN's podcast page and hit download on a podcast and it opens up an internet window and plays it directly without saving. If I migrate away from the window, it closes out the podcast. Just to be clear, I didn't hit "Play", I hit "Download". How do I download the file directly to my Droid? My BB Storm used to ask me if I wanted to save it, and then name the file, which doesn't happen with my X.
2) Are there any must have apps that I'm missing? I downloaded most of the "top" free ones already, but are there any under the radar that I should definitely get?
Also, what does everyone use the 7 homescreens for? I like the options, but I can't figure out much to do with 3-4 of them.
What can I do with this new toy I have that will keep me entertained for the next 18 months?
