No Rally Monkeys, Towels or hankies
Just 50,000 fans of the New York Yankees.
I was thinking much the same, wexy.
Knowing it'll be still another two+ months before they get out..... IF they all make it...... would be enough to drive me insane.
I would guess there will be a few deaths before the rest are rescued.
What a horror.
.Of all the things in life I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
33 people in an area the size of a small apartment with 2 benches... things will get dirty. Hopefully they all make it...

Not to sound mercenary... but think of all the overtime they must be earning! Honestly, if I were stuck down there, that would be one of the only things I could chuckle over. Of course, the rest of the time, I'd be going completely bonkers.

That's not funny at all and also shows your lack of knowledge about other countries and cultures. You should grab a book or do a little research before you make staments like that because makes you sound like an idiot.Originally Posted by ny
Back on topic, we were all very happy yesterday when we known they were all alive. Now they are getting water and food from a small hole.
I just hope they all survive, their families have been suffering a lot this past two weeks.

Do they have a place to pee and poop down there? Do they have light? Know which day of the week it is, or time of day?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100823/..._mine_collapseThe shelter, a living-room-sized chamber off one of the mine's lower passages that is easily big enough for all 33 men, is far enough from the landslide to remain intact, and the men can also walk around below where the rocks fell. The temperature there is around 90 to 93 degrees (32-34 degrees Celsius).
If it is 90+ degrees down there, it is going to be very difficult for them. I read another article (I can't find it now) that indicated that they could walk something like 1.5 km from their current location so it sounded like there is a lot more space than the small room that was originally reported.
