    Entourage

Sorry if I missed a more recent thread for Entourage but the search told only produced an archived thread. I think this season has been really good so far. Definitely an improvment over the last few seasons. The Vince substance abuse storyline was long overdue.

I just can't get into the fact that Lizzie, who a year ago was some junior executive that was being hit on by David Schwimmer and Andrew Klein, is now: being asked by Amanda to spy on Ari; is wanted by Barbara to head the TV division; is able to bring the biggest talent agency in L.A. to its knees.

It's crazy, but craziness is part of Entourage's charm, I guess. Overall, this has been a very strong season.

Yeah it definitely takes a little suspension of disbelief to buy into the storyline. She's basically a blemish on Ari's buttocks yet he's freaked out because she might steal Jessica Simpson. Not really buying it. Nonetheless, if you can get past it being somewhat unrealistic, it's still pretty good theater.

Couldn't agree more. It had to happen eventually. They could go in many different directions with it.

Entourage has sucked for the past few seasons, but it's been really good so far this year. With the announcement that they're finishing up next year (after a 6 episode season) maybe they'll keep going strong.

Also funny how the Ari stuff is somewhat parallel to the Mel Gibson stuff (not as serious, I know) but it's always funny to see Ari squirm. And having Amanda (Carla Gugino) on screen is never a bad thing.

I haven't watched this season yet, but how's Sasha Grey doing?

She's a sick SOB in real life, for those who didn't know that she's an actual porn star.

She's playing herself and doing a really good job, IMO. She's essentially a bad influence/enabler as Vince's new "girlfriend".

Agreed. I also think her face is a little busted. Vince could probably land a hotter porn star.

But there's very few porn stars that can act as well as Sasha Grey.

I'm not sure why this season seems to be all about Turtle and Ari.

I'd prefer more Drama and more Vince. Drama's gigs are just a subplot, and Vince is kind of an ancillary character this year.

How could you prefer Vince over Ari? Maybe Drama but Vince?

I don't prefer Vince over Ari, but Vince is the factor that gives the show movement. Stories about Vince aren't usually stories about Vince - they're about E and Ari and the studios and the movies in production. There's been very little of that this year. Ari's been about his inner-office turmoil, E's been about his own new job, and we're left with Turtle trying to get with that crazy Mexican chick.

    Re: Entourage

Some nice Sloane side boob last night. Otherwise a pretty unremarkable episode. I was expecting a little more out of the climax to the Lizzie storyline. Her sudden "change of heart" seemed far fetched.

Sloanes side boob was amazing. We've never seen Vince do coke before though...for a while they had us thinking he was only addicted to perscription drugs and booze.

Other than the appearance of Sloane's sideboob and the ep with Tom Brady at the golf charity event this show has been cooked for years.

Definitely getting too realistic for me. Ari is supposed to conquer all things human or otherwise. This crying stuff and losing the NFL deal is not the Ari I know. He better come back and bury Amanda

    Re: Entourage

I don't know why I still watch. I didn't see this weeks' yet, but regarding the whole Vince storyline with Sasha Grey, it's one thing to be an actress playing a porn chick in a show or movie and look like your basic drunk with a coke habit, but it's another thing to do it as an ex-porn star acting under your actual name. What a dummy.

I watch purely out of habit now, I don't think there is one storyline going on that I like.

    Re: Entourage

The episode felt very rushed. And why am I supposed to care about Turtle and his tequilla company?

Interesting start to the season, but each storyline became boring or predictable (or both).
