Not a bad start for Lance Armstrong in the Prologue of the 2010 Tour de France.
The 7-time winner finished 4th in the Individual Time Trial.
Fabian Cancellara of Switzerland takes the yellow jersey after the Prologue.

Lance Armstrong avoided a crash-filled day in Stage 1 of the 2010 Tour de France.
Lance's rival and defending champion, Spain's Alberto Contador also escaped the crash pile-up unhurt.
Alessandro Petacchi of Italy wins Stage 1.

Ha! I saw there was a Tour De France thread and was like hell yea..Imma go in there and see what whats been discussed but all it is is BroadwayBomber55 holding it down in here lol.
Good job..that stage 3 was epic like nothing I've seen before..but it totally destroyed Lances chance to try and win this thing from Cantador. He is like 50 seconds back which is a lifetime in cycling and no one thinks he can make that time up on Contador in the mountains. It sucks cause he almost got out of that stage unscathed and in front of Contador but he caught a flat trying to ride the dirt patch off the cobbles.
Anyway..looking forward to the mountains and the pyrenees...I want to see some serious attacks from Lance, Contador and Schleck. Its the only way to shake things up cause that is going to be the 1, 2, 3 right there(not in that order) as long as there are no unexpected disasters. Most likely Lance in 3rd but nothing to laugh at for the old man but it looks like he is going to have to kill himself just to podium.
I have this image in my head of Contador with a smile on his face prancing up the mountain while Lance looks like he is dying behind him lol.

I'm hoping that's not the case..nothing against Contador..seems like an ok guy besides all the non team player stuff. I hope someone challenges him, Schleck if not Lance. Now that the Schleck brothers are now only 1 after stage 3 I feel this helps Andy Shleck and doesn't hurt him as others have stated.
I clearly remember last year Andy attacking Contador in the mountains and then always looking back for his big bro...big bro Frank was holding Andy back cause Andy wanted to get his brother on the podium too. Now Andy can attack at will and try and take Contador down( of course I also remember last year Contador having no problems staying with Andy on all of those attacks lol).
This fight might ultimately prove too much for Lance however...I hope he can stick with these guys.

Lance doesn't stand a chance anymore.
It's very possible that Contador in the mountains is even stronger than Lance was in his prime. Contador is going to run away with this.
A win for Lance is just getting on the Podium, 2nd or 3rd..doesn't matter. That's a win for him. He might not think so...but it is what it is now.

Usually sprint stages bore me..it's usually the same script..break away in the first few miles..the pelaton lets them go but not too far ahead..and then in the last 4 kilometers the pelaton chases and catches the breakaway and the sprinters do their thing. I love the thrill and pain of the mountains.
But the last stage was so epic crazy in the sprint that it was actually entertaining lol. Headbutt and unsportsmanlike behavior of cutting people off..plus the few fights that have broken out.
