I'm cautiously optimistic on the Tallinder signing...looks like Lou may want him to mentor Urbom and help Josefson or Tedenby (should either make the team) in the club house to adjust to life over here. Buffalo fans had a lot of good things to say about him from what I heard.
I love Volchenkov's game so I am excited about his signing. Though I hope Marty lets down his ego and for once allows the defenseman to block shots. Gotta let Volchenkov play his game for him to be effective.
I like how they are trying to get bigger and tougher with these two guys over Martin who was probably a bit overrated by NJ fans and soft. I appreciate everything Martin did and I understand he wasn't happy with how his injury was handled so I thank him for his time here even though he wanted out bad. Just wish he didn't go to a divisional rival.
For the amount of money they signed Moose for he better play a fair amount of games. Hell, for once someone needs to grow some balls and just tell Marty he's not playing 75+ games a year. Hopefully Mac can be that guy though who knows with how buddy buddy Lou and Marty are.

Kovalchuk's agent tweeted about 45 minutes ago saying he is going to make a decision today. Kings are still claiming they are out of it but who knows what the truth is. In my mind, if the New Jersey Devils re-sign Ilya Kovalchuk with that deal, they're really crazy.
Why? If they do re-sign him, the Devils are over their salary cap and have to make trades to clear cap space (i.e. Patrik Elias).
And also, can Kovy help out and play defense too? I don't think so.
