Yes today is the last Staten Island Yankees game of the season and my last game as their beat writer. It has been a fun 8 seasons of covering the Baby Bombers. I have met a lot of great people but it is time for me to move one and do something else.

I am finishing up one more article on Cito Culver and then my Year-In-Review after that I will no longer be writing articles on the Staten Island Yankees. Until I find a new job I will remain the Beat Writer covering the Entire New York Yankees Farm System for Gotham Baseball and Baseball Digest so I might be heading out to Trenton and Scranton for a game or two in the playoffs.

I thought so. Sorry to say I never got out to SI this year. At least last year I got to see them in the playoffs. Is Sanchez supposed to play today?

I hope I think I only got two useful photos of him since he joined Staten Island. I plan on doing a Top 10 Prospect list again for BaseballDigest.com so I will let you guys know when that is out.

I want to say thank you guys for reading my coverage of the team and I hope you continue to check GothamBaseball.com and BaseballDigest.com for updates on the Yankees farm system. With that loss the Staten Island Yankees season is over, but I will have two more articles coming up. One a feature on Cito Culver and the one after that will be my top prospect article.

We will be searching for a replacement soon so hopefully the coverage of the Staten Island Yankees continue.

I am sure I speak for many who have followed your posts, writings, etc., over the years. You were a solid reporter, and your ability to bring forth news on the Baby-Bombers over the years was truly fantastic. If you indeed are not covering the team next season, it will be a loss to all of us.
