WTB: 5 tickets for Yankees-Astros on Sunday 6/13

Long shot - I need 5 tickets for the Yankees-Astros game on 6/13. Since 5 is an odd number, I may consider buying 6 if the section is right. My only requirement is that they must be side by side.

If you have anything available, please reply here or PM me.

    Thanks!
    Brian

I haven't checked, but I would think you could find that for below face value on places like stubhub.

I did check StubHub and there are no blocks of five tickets for anything close to face value. Obstructed view bleachers : $30 each. Grandstand : $35. Main Outfield : $81. Terrace Infield : $95.

Hmm. I'm surprised at that. I wonder when that 1920 scalping law kicks in?...

I'm not sure what StubHub would do to in order to be compliant short of cutting off all Yankee/Met ticket sales or possibly just cutting off sellers that live in NY. In any event, it appears that they haven't received the letter that Patterson supposedly sent to them.

I was shocked to see the prices they were going for on Stub Hub, and have a hard time paying 2x face value to sit in the Grandstand for a game against a mediocre opponent.

When I bought tickets on the day they went on sale, I focused on buying Opening Day tickets. I should have taken some more time to go back and grab tickets for this game too.

I have 2 I'm selling 413 row 7 that I bought thru ticketmaster. Don't know if that helps.

As far as the scalping law goes I live in NJ but I listed a pair for tonight's game at Citifield. All stubhub does is give a disclaimer about the law for NY residents and says you are at your own risk or something along those lines.

Thanks for the tip. I'll just have to pay $35-40 per seat for grandstand. I hate the thought of paying over face for a game against the Astros, but we have no flexibility in the date.

The Yankees will probably release tickets for this game eventually.

On ebay I found 5 tickets in 420A - Row 8 for $200 shipped. Face is $30 + TM Fees, so I figured I likely wouldn't do much better on the secondary market.

Thanks for your input earlier this week guys!

Glad to hear, Its a good thing you live in Connecticut, I dont think ebay would of let you pay that much for them if you lived here in NY.. was the seller from NY?

The seller didn't specify, but I question the ability of ebay/stubhub to efficiently enforce these scalping laws.

C,mon -- I'm sure that its there position is that the transaction occurs on their server which is outside of New York.

Besides do you really think they will follow a letter from the Gov?

Boo hoo , I'm sure they really scared.

That's why there are large law firms and clogged federal courts.

I think they will do NOTHING to be compliant and continue business as usual.

LOL, yeah I actually remember that as well.
IT was on E bay and it was a boilerplate disclaimer disregard by NY buyers wishing to buy the tixs.

Many a time, I bid over the "allowed" maximum and my winning bids were always honored.
