I'd say Tex or Jeter. HM to Gardner and Park.

Mark Teixeira. No one expects anything from Randy Winn, so he's excused from goat-dom.

Jeter at least had an RBI. True, with an out, but still.

TG is def Winn. I'm starting to get tired of seeing him play everyday. At this point I'd put Russo in left till Granderson can come back next week. Tex didn't help himself at the plate, but made 2 outstanding plays at 1st so I can't really give it to him cause of those plays.

As long as Winn is on a team that won the WS last year and has more money than God, I will not excuse him. However, if the league allows us to be spotted a run or two because of his grazing in the outfield then I will excuse him.

Tex needs to be shown the bench for a bit and reminded that without his bat, his defense just ain't enough. I mean, Juan Freaking Miranda could give us as much as Tex is right now. Tex is not even making contact for goodness sake.

Randy Winn needs to be shown the door and soon. I have to question whether he is giving us anything above replacement at this point.
Draft smart and be patient. There is much work to do.

I was thinking of starting a thread like this but thought some would construe it as negative.

I would say that I am getting very impatient with Tex. However, I am thinking Girardi for some reason.

I thought someone tried it back in the day. It didn't go over to well. I can't remember the exact reason it was put on the shelf, but it had to do with player bashing or something like that.
    Oh well, here goes.

TG: MT-25.....................need more than 0-4 with 3 SO from him.
HMG: CHP-61..............still giving up runs every time out.

Winn is goatin' it too, but at least he was on base twice.

I'd say he's pretty well below that.

    Hits/AB 13/61 in 29 games (.213)
    OBP: .300
    OPS .595
    OPS+ 65
    WAR -.5
    RAR -5

Plus his poor play in the outfield.

I realize his role is that of bench player, but he has contributed less-than-nothing other than the HR against the O's a few weeks back. Thames on one foot or Russo is probably a better option by now.

Player bashing? One only needs to go over to the player performance threads to see that at epic levels. This isn't to discuss individual players because there are threads for that. This is only a way to release some steam by pointing out who in particular really blew it. Pretty innocuous compared to other threads on this site.

We used to have these threads in the somewhat more tolerant Sports Bar forum, where they were called "Team Bitch" threads. Some people got really colorful in their nominations.

down with this, plus i would add jeter. he and tex need to pick it up. winn is the obvious choice here, but really, he's just not good, nothing he can do about it. girardi is the one that keeps putting him in when there's a better choice and not taking him out until he's tanked a rally and given up a run in the field. blame the general, not the private who's likely to get a discharge soon in any case.

    Tex, and Winn

hopefully this will turn into a team hero thread
The real reason why the Yankees keep winning is cause the other team can't stop staring at the damn pinstripes

Johnson vs. Matsui/Damon is the new Joba: Bullpen or Starter. It appears everyday, without warning, in every thread.

Isn't Matsui about to be moved out of the Angel's lineup?
