I was talking about that one poster before. My question was where was he in April? Not saying he should be trash talking in April (he shouldn't be trash talking now, no fan should, it's June 8!). My point was if you (that one poster which that post was directed) are going to talk smack now, then be here to take the lumps when they are 8 1/2 out too.

Wakefield just became the Red Sox all time leader in IP.

Edit: Then immediately gives up a HR to Shelley Duncan. Who writes these scripts?

Very quiet in here. The Red Sox must have lost last night.

Congratulations to Tim Wakefield. He has had a very good career and has done a good job on and off the field for the Red Sox for a very long time.

The amateur draft? Strasburg? You do know there are some really interesting things going on in baseball that have nothing to do with the Red Sox, right?

This guy's post history is like a freaking gold mine. Also, I love people who hated on the CC signing because "it's only because of what he did in the NL Central." Yeah, he never won the American League Cy Young award...

Um, anyway. The Red Sox. They suck.
I took a look back. I called him out from post #1.

Tied for 3rd place in all of baseball for most wins.

Unfortunately, the two teams in front of us are in our division.

So Beltre on pace for over 30 errors, not quite what you would expect from the "Greatest Fielding Third Baseman of All Time"

The high batting average was an unexpected surprise though

Almost everything Beltre does is a surprise in some way. He makes plays that are just ridiculous, then messes up easy ones. He swipes routine GBs to SS and takes out OFers on popups. He hits HRs off one knee and self-checks the umps on check swings.

Man, it's lively in here today.

I hate losing as much as anyone but if someone has to drop the hammer on the Sox, I'm glad it was Masterson. I'd do that trade all over again without any hesitation (just like Hanley etc. for Beckett and Lowell), but I liked everything about Justin when he was a Red Sox, and hope he has a great career.

And to be clear, I hope the Sox knock him out in the first inning next time.

The Sox as a racist organization in 2010 stuff is priceless. It makes about as much sense as trying to make a connection between the Yankees CBS ownership days and today.

Looking at the massive overpay the Sox gave Mike Cameron, I almost wish they were racist. I doubt any other team would have come within $5 mm of what they gave him over the two years ($15.5 mm).

Says the Red Sox fan! Red Sox are 2nd in the majors in salary at 162 million and are more than double than 14 teams. If Pirates or Royals fans complain I can understand it, but Red Sox fans are the pot calling the kettle black.
