Bowling, hmmm, I'd rather sit at the bar and play some pool!! The only time I can bowl is after I had a few. When I don't have a few beforehand, it isn't good!! My 8 year old cousing bowls better than me!!

I took bowling while in college. It was a lot of fun. It gets frustrating if you take it too seriously, though.

Are the alleys still smoke filled? I used to love the sport but somewhere along the line I couldn't stand the smoke. I did like the beer frames though.

I used to be pretty good, but I "retired" about 7 or 8 years ago due to frustration. Now I play ice hockey. Bowling is a great sport that you can play for a lifetime, enjoy!

Went to Baylor University. We had to take PE credits and it was very hot (south central Texas) so I decided to take indoor things and bowling was one PE class that was offered.

Bowling is a nice sport to play. I have a bowling place about one mile from my house.

awwwww come on Rob. There are different levels of sports, you know that. Sure it's not as physically demanding as some other sports, but face it, not everybody can play baseball or hockey, even in a recreational type league. I used to bowl till tendonitis in my shoulder forced me to quit. I wasn't very good, in fact my brother, who carries a 200+ average in a couple of leagues told me if he bowled like me he'd quit. But at least it got my behind off a chair and got me moving around. Bowling is competative sport that you can do at any age, regardless of athletic skills. I have NO athletic skills at all, and would never have been considered for some of the softball leagues that are in this area even before I got old and sadly out of shape. It's good to have things that you can do for a lifetime, rather than just when you're young. And it's not as easy as you portray it as.

Geez Rob!! Bowling requires a lot of skill. It is also hard to get a three strikes in a row as it is almost a miracle to hit three homers in a game. Bowling is a sport because of the competition, needing of skills, and once in a while, knowledge.

Actually, you aim for the pins. I usually carry a 115 average.

I like to bowl but I just don't go very often.( Maybe that's why I'm not very good at it! )

Bowled for many years. Really like the sport and fairly good at it but not a lot of time to do it anymore as the season is way to long for me now. And my work schedual interfere's with being there every week.
    33 weeks is to long.

I don't know If you can call bowling a sport, but you can defenitley call it a game that requires alot of practice and concentration.

My dad force fed me bowling from a young age, and by the time I was 11 had me bowling a few times a week. It got tiring after a while, because I had the concentration of a 5 year old in a circus at that age. I sucked. I got better with age though, and If you know me, You know Its not because I have athletic ability- because that's something I severley lack.

Up until recently, I carried a 201 average - and I haven't bowled in months. It's a game that makes those of us who can't hit a homer feel alot better about ourselves.

And by the way, You dont aim at the pins. You pick a dot and an arrow, and make sure to hit it every time so to ensure you dont screw up.

I have been bowling for as long as I remember. When I bowled for my high school team we were state champions for NYS. I also know a few of the people on the pro tour.

And for my case, a few rounds too, score improves dramatically proportionally to intake.

But i would really love to bowl IF I can line-up all my enemies at the end and... well, get my drift?
