It's ok to trade for a major leaguer who is in a person's minor league section and then keep that player in your minor leagues?

I don't know the rule. Just looking for clarification.

Peralta wasn't supposed to be dropped for Tejada - I had even left an open roster spot for the waiver pick up intentionally.

I'm not sure what you're asking me. If it's whether or not it should be allowed, that's up to your discretion. I would say it's a no harm/no foul situation so not a big deal. If you're asking how to do it, you can put any free player on any team on the add/drop page, just make sure you have the player active for the current week (although that's not an issue if he is going to be a reserve anyway).
