2010 Roster Moves Thread

If you need to do the following, please post it here and I will get it done ASAP:

1. Put someone on the DL
2. Give a pitcher SP or RP eligibility
3. Pick up a placeholder for an unlisted minor league player

The only stipulation here is you need to give me proof other than what CBS tells you. After the debacle last night I don't trust CBS with anything. I'll take news from ESPN, CSN, etc...

If you want to add position eligibility to a batter, you will have to wait until they reach the minimum at bats at that position.

he hasnt played all spring training and there is no chance he wont be on the DL to start the season. Kinda like Nathan, he is widely reported to start the season on the DL.

Past precedent I think has stated that players actually have to be on the DL in real life to be placed on the DL here. As soon as they are please let me know. I know this has happened before. If I am wrong, please let me know too.

I think if its widely known that the player is going to start the season on the DL then we should be able to go ahead and move them to the DL.

I may be wrong, but I think that in the preseason we've always moved the players as long as it is absolutely clear they will start the season on the DL. If there's any doubt then it's a no go, but otherwise I think it's been okay.

Nathan is one thing, but Sanchez still has a chance that he might not be on the DL, so I'm going to wait for a little bit. If you can find something more recent and now "is expected to start on the DL," I will make the move. I need something more definitive.

on CBS it says Sanchez is expected to start the season on the DL and isn't due back to Mid-April at the earliest, he has yet to play in a game in spring training and there is no reports of him doing anything as far as working out or fielding balls or taking batting practice, nothing. I think this close to the start of the season it's pretty clear he's going to start the season on the DL.

If Alex Gordon gets moved to the DL then so should Freddy Sanchez because on CBS both are "expected" to go to the DL and out until at least mid-april....just throwing that out there.

I think if it is written that a player is expected to go on the DL, the manager of that team should be able to request that the Commish of the League to place the player on the DL for the Fantasy League.

However, if that player does not go on the DL in real life, the team will lose 2 Keepers the next season.

Marc Rzepczynski has been diagnosed with a fractured middle finger and is expected to miss up to six weeks.

Rzepczynski suffered the injury when he was hit in the left hand Tuesday by a comebacker. He won't be able to pick up a ball in at least two weeks and is obviously not going to be ready for the start of the regular season. The lefty was battling for a spot in the Jays' starting rotation.
