Dan Haren with a spectacular outing -- the failure to acquire him may end up being the difference between another pennant for the Yankees and a first round exit.

Can the Rockies win 10 straight? Will the Giants take 3 out of 4 in San Diego against the Padres?

Not sure what you're getting at, the Angels robbed Arizona blind and got a young, talented, elite starter for the next few years

And the Padres have to wait another day before Dick Enberg gets back into their booth.

The SF Giants take 3 out of 4 from the Padres and the NL West is tied again.

The Rockies won 10 straight games after beating the Diamondbacks 4-2. They're 1.5 back in the NL West.

I'm personally hoping for a three way tie with none of the teams eligible for the wild card.

The Rockies are showing their September clutch again. They've now won 10 in a row picking up 6 on the Padres, now 1.5 back of SD & SF with a 3 game set up next against the Padres.

In the span of 3 batters the Royals have commited 2 errors and a passed ball. Now that's some stellar defense!

edit: 2nd inning and they've had a runner picked off second and commited a balk. quality baseball indeed!

I think he might be getting at the fact that the Mariners would have trouble scoring 3 runs a game tee-ball might have as much to do with Haren's great outing as Haren's pitching did.

The Padres beat the Rockies on Monday night 6-4. Now, they want more.

    They lead 6-3 Bottom 8th.

Big chance for the Giants to gain ground in both the NL West and NL Wild Card. The Braves lost 6-0 to the Nationals earlier today.

However, the Giants need to get past their hated rival, the Dodgers. No score Top 5th.

How do they gain if the Padres beat the Rockies?

That's if the Rockies beat the Padres. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

The Giants didn't gain ground of the NL Wild Card either despite the Braves losing because they lost 1-0 to the Dodgers.

Rockies probably lead that division if he hadn't been on the DL earlier this year.

    anyway it's now 9-6 Rockies

Tulo 2 HRs & 7 RBI for the Rocks
    A-gon 2 HR & 5 RBI for the Pads
