    Conference Championship Weekend

We're down to the final four. Jets-Colts, Vikings-Saints. Have at it.

    Jesus Montero since June 1 (286 at-bats):
    .325/.386/.605/.991
    July 1 (182 at-bats):
    .348/.417/.658/1.075

I'll go with the Jets. At least they're a NY team.

I'd love to see a Saints-Jets Super Bowl. The Saints' great offense vs. the Jets' great defense.

If we wind up with a Vikings-Colts Super Bowl, the hype buildup of Favre vs. Manning would be sickening.

The key is going to be making Peyton throw early. Safeties gotta be huge in this game if we are going to win.

Colts will stack the line, and Rex will blitz often.

For those of us without a horse in the Super Bowl race, Fox and Verizon have given a reason to still watch - and her name is Rebecca Grant.

On paper I think the Vikings are the best among all teams. They have a great QB, RB and good WR and defense. The team is so balanced. But I hope Manning wins it all. I'm not a Colts fan but I hate people think Brady is better because Manning chokes in playoff.

    Re: Conference Championship Weekend

I've already got what I wanted so far this playoffs, outside of my own team being there:

-The Eagles got bounced, igniting the McNabb saga again...if they cut him loose, I believe it will set them back for at least a year or two.

-The Cowboys won a game before getting bounced, getting Wade a contract extension and buying Romo more time as the guy.

-Next, I would like the Favre- and Jet-mania to be stopped dead in their tracks. I've been rooting for Peyton this postseason, and will continue to - my ideal SB is Colts over Saints.
If they ask who was our star, give them twenty five names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.

I picked a Colts vs Vikings Superbowl at the start of the playoffs and I'm going to stick with that prediction.

    Re: Conference Championship Weekend

I really can't stand either the Jets or Colts, but I have to say I'd love for the Colts to lose at home twice to the Jets with their rookie coach and rookie QB. That's the karma they deserve for throwing a perfect season.

Funny, I'm rooting for the Jets for almost the same reason. I hate that the Manning/Brady argument always comes down to Manning's lack of success in the playoffs, instead of people actually looking at the fact that statistically it's much closer than people think between the two when you take into consideration that the Patriots play most of their games outdoors and in bad weather, and the AFC East has traditionally been a much better division defensively than the AFC South.

I'll stop there because obviously there are people that feel strongly on the other side, Brady isn't involved in Conf. Championship weekend, and I don't want to lose another 2 days arguing Brady/Manning.

I find it rather funny that half of us Giants fans are ecstatic about the Jets success, and the other half thinks it's the equivalent of the Angels winning it all (I realize I'm exaggerating a bit, but still).

    Anyways, goooo Jets!

I hope for our Jet football fans sake that their Jets are a little more intimidating than those Jets were.

Makes me sick but I'm wholeheartedly rooting for the Colts today.

I have taken so much abuse this past week from the most obnoxious Jets fans. People I hadn't spoken to in years have called, texted and emailed to taunt me about my Chargers.

    Sickening.

    So.....Go Colts!

You gotta love fans. it's not enough to be happy about the team you root for, you have to make some other fan miserable to find enjoyment.

    But seriously....

Soccer players can consistently hit a small target on free kicks and corners, so I don't see why it's so hard for a kicker to do it. At this point I'm surprised a team hasn't offered Landon Donovan a spot yet.

Whatever happened to the kickers who could hit long field goals like it was routine?

What's worse - kickers in this year's NFL playoffs or closers (except for Mo ) in this year's MLB playoffs? Damn.
