Wild card weekend is generally the best football weekend of the NFL play-offs.
It's suppose to be cold this weekend. Throw another log on the fire and watch some football. Life is pretty good.
Those who can do. Those who cant criticize.
Bengals, Cards, Dallas & Patriots.

I'm also anticipating the Cardinal-Packer game will be the best one of the weekend.

Jets, Packers, Cowboys, Pats.

It will be a shootout. Last one with the ball wins.Originally Posted by fredgmuggs

Bengals - Packers - Patriots - Cowboys
[I hope I'm wrong about the Cowboys. I'd really like to see the Eagles embarass them.]

(OK, so I'm a wee bit biased on the first one. But I did pick the Pats, whom I hate immeasurably!)
Should be a great weekend. All these games are so close that they could easily go either way. Jets-Bengals should be a real defensive show, and IMO, one of two things will decide that game - how much Sanchez's presence can be minimized by the Jets relying on the running game (I love Sanchez but he's still a rookie, as he's shown so often this season), and whether Revis et. al. completely succeed in shutting down Ochocinco and the rest of the Bengals' passing game. From watching this team all season, there's no doubt in my mind that the Jets running game and defense more than make up for the presence of a rookie QB still learning on the job though. (On that note, it's unrelated the this year's playoffs, but this will be a real powerful team once Sanchez gains some more experience and the passing game improves, IMO.)
I think both Romo and McNabb are overrated, but I'd take Romo over McNabb at this point, so that played a large part in me taking the Boys in that matchup. Plus, Dallas wasn't their normal horrific selves this December, which could bode good things for them.
I think the Pats can withstand the Welker injury against the Ravens (though I think they'll be promptly bounced in the divisional round - that injury is just way too big to expect them to win in spite of it against better teams than Baltimore), though that will be a lot closer than anyone would've thought before Welker went down. The Pats, overall, are a head-and-shoulders better team than the Ravens though, enough so that losing Welker still doesn't make Baltimore the better team.
The Cards-Packers matchup can really go either way. I really like the Cards this year, but that Packers defense is just insane, and there's no doubt in my mind that they can shut down the Cards' offense. But as long as Boldin can play, I think the Cards can take this one.

So I guess this is our game thread for this week?
Go Jets!
So to my fellow Giants fans, are you rooting for Philly, Dallas or neither? I'll be rooting for Philly (albeit only slightly), as it would be nice to see the Cowboys fail to win a playoff game yet again.
Here we go!
I say Jets, Patriots, Eagles and Packers.

I'll say Bengals, Eagles, Pats, Cards
Rooting for the Jets though. Eagles-Cowboys..two even teams and its VERY hard to beat a team like 3 times in one season.
