• Eduardo Salcedo, an 18-year-old infielder, could be cleared to sign with MLB teams sometime this week. If everything goes through, the D’Backs and Braves will be among the teams interested in signing him. The bidding could reach $2MM for the shortstop-third baseman.

We heard this same song about how "he is just about to be eligible to sign" 2 years ago. Given his history, I'll wait until the official word comes down thanks.

SATURDAY, 7:10pm: Dave O'Brien of The Atlanta Journal Constitution tweets that the two sides are expected to finalize a deal as soon as Salcedo passes a physical. In a second tweet, O'Brien mentions that the Braves consider Salcedo the equivalent of a high first round pick.

DR = Dominican Republic. Buscons are basically like player agents who find talent, help them train and get them signed by pro teams. They can often times be shady dealers.
