iPod Nano 2nd generation. I'll probably pick up one of those new Touches soon because this Nano is going to die soon.

None. I used to use my Verizon phone for this, but it has passed on.
I am begining a new walking program and am looking to get a new iPod type device where i can store all my music on there.
Whatever advice folks can offer for MP3 devices or iPods specifically would be much appreciated. I wont be running or biking, climbing rocks, or driving on rugged terrain in my small SUV -- just walking. If that![]()

iPod shuffle, which was a Christmas present (wasn't on my list). I haven't used it in a long time now.
I have the silver iPod classic and a purple iPod shuffle. I use the classic most of the time, but the shuffle when I'm working out/at the gym.
I also still have my old discman that I really should get rid of at this point. I'm not even sure it still works.

I have two. My main one is an iRiver. I use that for my day to day listening and podcast downloads. The other is a Sandisk that is loaded with a compilation of my favorite stuff. About two years ago I broke the face so I can no longer see the screen to select a particular song. But it is on shuffle, so I can still use it, I just never know what song is coming on next. Not a bad thing though, since all the songs are ones I like.

I have a normal size ipod video and got an ipod nano when I bought my computer (Student promo deal). I have 15,845 songs on my ipod and my most played song is Please Forgive Me - David Gray and there are 173 songs I have yet to listen to.

I have some cheap mp3 player that I use when I go to the gym. No idea what brand it is, but it's good at drowning out all of the terrible music my gym pumps through their speakers.
30 gig black 1st gen video ipod. I'm campaigning for the 64gig ipod touch for Christmas.
I, too have the black 30GB iPod video with1024 songs, 3 videos and 7 photos on it.
27.8GB available memory, 22.7 GB used.
Hmmm, does the iPod really need 2.2GB all to itself?

The term MP3 should refer only to an otherwise unnamed third Military Policeman in movie credits.
1024 songs takes up 22 gigs? Mine has 4872 songs, 1 video and 45 photos on it and I have 1 GB left.Originally Posted by LDG

I have a Creative Labs Zen touch. It's lasted me over 4 years and I'm pretty happy about it. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles and isn't even color but it holds 10K songs and plays music and that's all I wanted.
Time for an upgrade though I think it's starting to go. It's more than paid for itself over the years.

My answer:
I have an IPOD Clasic 30 GB, 2123 songs (most of which no one has ever heard of), which played from start to end would take 238 hours. The longest song is 55 minutes. I've used up 14.66 of the 30 gigs.
I'm quite surprised by the amount of people that don't have one of these devices.
