I don't know if he could be a #3/#4 starter. He has pitched in the AL East though.
Quest for #28
I will cry. Cashman can do better than this.

When I heard that I thought about vomiting and even switching to just being a basketball fan.
Jesus Christ Cashman, no.
Bronson for Joba Cash, do it now. This is what happens when you watch Mike'd Up one too many times.

I'd prefer Ian Snell. I will say that Arroyo probably is as good as Mitre. Either way, given that it's this kind of move that I think we will make for our rotation, it's another reason why I think the Yankees will keep Joba in the rotation or the playoffs and will manage his innings by skipping him.
“I mean, people knew that Brown was out there, and that Randy was ornery all the time. And Pavano is whoever he is. But if you’re their manager, you can’t go out and write about them like that.”
Ponson Arroyo hybrid.

his ERA+, WHIP, and SO/9 have decreased for the past 4 years. he would be absolutely useless
I will hate Cash forever if he gets this guy. Seriously. I will never quit calling for his job.
Win one for The Boss.
I hate myself for even having the sarcastic thread title with my name under it. I'm going to take a shower or two.

Don't do it Brian.

He sucks and he's expensive.
Plays the game the wrong way.
I'd prefer losing one testicle.
Calmer than you are.
I'd have to imagine the Reds would paying almost all of his remaining contract. $11M next year? How awful.
This is not quite Pavano putrid but close. God damn it Cashman, I'd rather see Igawa. At least he's a lefty and already on the books.
I'm sorry, but I don't know if another Reds-Yankees trade helps the Yankees.
The Aaron Boone for Brandon Claussen deal worked.
For Bronson Arroyo? You better write your will Brian Cashman.

The Reds are looking to dump salary so they can make some moves of their own. I would imagine picking up half the tab and sending a c prospect would do it. I would prefer Harang, though.
This shouldn't happen at all. Cash please no

is it April 1?

Over the last three seasons, hes got a 3.5 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP post all star break. He has a 4.53 ERA and a 1.42 WHIP pre-all star break.

Arroyo wasn't scratched for Tuesday vs. SD. He is still starting. It was a mistake that he was listed as TBA. I promise.

I think it could be worse... he'd be a decent back-end guy. But his HR numbers are terrifying.

Ugh. That is all.
What would suck if we trade for Arroyo is that he probably takes a rotation spot next year....we already have CC, AJ, Joba, Hughes, and Wang (we at least own his rights). I would rather keep Pettitte or pay Lackey 11 million-entirely possible in this current market.
No to Arroyo!
Hoping Rivera can pitch forever!
Fire Thomson now!!!

NESN SAYS DEAL IS DONE NO NAMES THOUGHThis is on on there site http://www.nesn.com/2009/07/report-a...-get-done.html
I wouldn't trade a bag of baseballs for Arroyo and his contract. He will pitch no better than Mitre in the AL East and cost 100x more. Makes no sense,.
Going for back to back WS!
Arroyo for Igawa while Reds pay rest of Bronson's salary=Originally Posted by Yankyfan

Throw in Jay Bruce and you've got a deal!
but in all seriousness, I might cry if the Yanks trade for Arroyo...
Its said it will get done...NOT that it is done...11 million each of the next 2 yrs cashman is not that crazyOriginally Posted by Yankyfan

if the reds picked up his whole contract and took back Cody Ransom, I wouldn't mind Arroyo as the #1 starter for Scranton.
He gets 11 million each of the next 2 yrs....are u kidding me cash....![]()

PetAbe just said the Yankees shot down this rumor

It makes no sense because of his contract. I wouldn't mind him or the 2nd half, but the guy is under contract for a sh*tload over the next 2 years.Originally Posted by hatfieldms

Lol, give Cash a little credit for chrissakes. There's no way in the nine hells that he trades one of our top prospects for a sub-par starting pitcher with an ugly contract.Originally Posted by tclwca
