In regards to the selection pool I don't see why Abe Almonte was added. Sure he's got tons of talent, but performance wise he has shown zero progress in pretty much all facets of the game.

Guys like Corban Joseph, Jose Pirela, Mike Dunn, David Adams and Matt Richardson just to name a few are all more deserving than Almonte. Personally I have some of those guys ranked over most of the guys in the current selection pool. Particularly Joseph who I think is one of the best pure hitters in the system. Pirela would not be far behind either given his breakout performance this year at a premier position.

Seriously now, Corban Joseph HAS to be added to the list by now. I think he's my best prospect going forward. Sure he's young and in the lower ranks, but he's got a hell of a lot more potential than a guy like Russo. Other than maybe Corona, Joseph is my guy.

My only comment is that you left out Rulon.

I'm not sure why this kid isn't getting any love. Is it his age or the preconceived expectations of his abilities when he came out of Tech?

Statisically he's done everything expected of him. That is he's dominated the first two leagues he's been put in. And he's on his way do doing the same thing since his promotion to Tampa if 3IP with 1H, 0ER, 1BB and 3Ks is any indication.

It may be the first time I've seen that he's gone three innings in one outing since he's been a Yankee. I don't know how many pitches he threw in that game. But not being used to that, how he pitches in his next appearance will be very interesting.

I love Rulon, but he isn't top 35 yet. I have him 43 on my list. He was like in the 50s or 60s last year. I think he could get on the top 30 maybe next summer. He won't do it in the winter with Slade and Murphy and others signing.
He has been very good, but he is not a future closer and has to be a reliever.

I can't believe how down people are on Suttle and Miranda.
I also think maybe it is time for Garcia to free fall a little. Maybe he shouldn't be added to this list at all.
