Lots of photos. It took him seventeen years to complete, and he had to dig it out of his basement when it was done.
That's one heck of a hobby.

The initial respect of him building the car is somehow outweighed by the inability to foresee having to dig it out of the basement.
I wondered where TheTinoMobile has been. I just figured he was still looking for a parking spot near Fordham.

I wondered what Lou has been up to lately.

1.Why wouldn't he build a Ferrari???
2. I wonder if Lambo sues him for copyright infringement.

2. Maybe, but it would seem kind of silly. I'd imagine that people replicating their cars when it takes seventeen years to make one is pretty low on their list of worries.Originally Posted by Tifoso

Haha I thought of this song too. That's pretty awesome, I'd do that if I had space in my basement.Originally Posted by fredgmuggs

I was just messing with you. Red is my favorite color, too. I prefer darker red than Ferraris, though.Originally Posted by Tifoso

I'll assume this took so long to build because he didn't want to ruin his marriage and neglect his family. It's pretty cool to see someone so passionate about a hobby. When I feel creative, I draw while listening to music, nothing major. This guy built himself a car and it's a full scale working replica of a Lamborghini at that. I wonder how much money he invested in his project and if he kept that Batcave ramp that was built in his basement to get the car out.
That's incredible. Way to go. However, I'm wondering how much he spent.

1. Because they had a Lambo in Cannonball Run. I'm not joking. He saw that movie and knew he wanted one - and he even made the same model.Originally Posted by Tifoso
Of course, he didn't have much luck building a Farrah Fawcett from scratch in his basement, but that's a story for another day.
2. No. But Ferrari would have.

That's amazing!! I'm willing to bet he thought he'd never finish it and therefore, didn't worry about how to get it out of the basement.
I bet it cost him a pretty penny over the years, but anyone who owns old cars, knows that they are huge money pits, as I'm sure this Lambo was.

No, he fully expected to finish it. Before he started, he had a contractor come out to the house and look at his basement, to estimate what would need to be done to get the car out. The contractor told him he didn't think it would be a problem (other than the expense), and so he went on.Originally Posted by krystl
