Wilson Chandler could do more playing with LBJ right now than Jamison is.

He doesnt play this way consistently enough. Btw where is Jamison? 2 points...and several defensive breakdowns can be attributed to him. This guy is just awful right now. They made the trade him thinking "hey this guy can be James's wingman and can be our 2nd legit scoring option". Well he hasnt been that. And his defense has been beyond atrocious. Varejao needs to play more.

You dont average 16 & 5 without playing consistently throughout the season. Its impossible.

Jamison is awful out there he has to step it up in a big way...he is talented enough to have a 10 point quarter here or there.

Rondo is a consistent jump shot away from being on the Chris Paul/Deron Williams level. He isnt far from it right now IMO.

Al Harrington averaged 18 and 6 this season, I rest my case.

    Re: 2009-2010 NBA Thread

Harrington was a big part of that quality Pacer team in 2004. These days he has played on nothing but bum teams but he used to be a important piece on a quality club.
Dont underestimate just how hard it is to average those numbers in the League.

Will Rondo develop that shot though? 4 years in the league and still no improvement with it. Jump shot is the easiest to learn also. I hope he does because IMO, he has a real shot at being a triple double player and a 6'1'' trip doub player blows my mind.

How does Lebron look? Box score is a bit ugly but is he doing his thing out there? or more of the same from the game before?

I wouldn't say he's quite there yet. Even with a consistent jump shot he's a level beneath them in terms of the way he reads the game and he's nowhere near CP3 defensively. That's not to say he isn't a wonderful player because he is but he's not really all the close to CP3 or Deron yet. He could get there. Having said that CP3 and Deron could get to another level if they played with the kind of talent Rondo has around him so you never know. This series has been an eye opener though, that's for sure.

Still he averaged 18 & 6 this year proving that stats eclipsing the 16 & 5 mark wont guarantee consistency.

2 different players. Williams has been a consistent player all season long.

    Anyways..2nd half here we go.

He's being much more aggressive in terms of driving to the basket. But he is passing up jump shots for the most part--much like Game 5. Again, leads me to believe the elbow is a factor.

    Re: 2009-2010 NBA Thread

If you're Mike Brown, you gotta bench Jamison. His offensive game is non-existent and he doesnt play any defense. KG is just abusing him in the post.

If I'm going down to the canvas, at least it will be with a guy who's gonna play tough defense and give me 110% (Varejao)

    Re: 2009-2010 NBA Thread

Does Mike Brown ever run plays for anyone not named Lebron?

This is the time where Jamison could use a play or two being called for him just to see if he can find some kind of rhythm. Instead of him just feeding off scraps and looking absolutely lost out there.

Run him some screen rolls with Williams as the ball carrier..something.

    Re: 2009-2010 NBA Thread

Jamison doesnt have much of a post up game from what I've seen....he isnt like KG where you can dump the ball down low, let him go to work and nail turn-around jumpers. He gets alot of his points on those little float shot things, or mid-range jumpers that someone else creates for him.

    Re: 2009-2010 NBA Thread

Boston being this close in a game that Lebron hasnt taken over is not a good sign for them.
If James has 4-5 good minutes, they are screwed.

Oh and Paul Pierce has disappeared

I refuse to believe that something isnt wrong with James physically. He just refuses to shoot jumpers...even when the defenders are backing off him. Thats not how he plays--if you watch Cavs games during the season, you will know this.

I think this game is history. Just watching this version of LeBron play....I dont think he's capable of "going off" offensively. He's limited for whatever reason.

Dont care if he is hurt...you are one game away from having 5 months of rest. Leave it all out there on the floor. Come on man!!

How horrible of a Coach is Mike Brown...How do you not take a time out 1) after Pierce hits the 3 and the place is erupting. 2) after KG hits the 2 to extend it to 9...or 3). when a player on your own team is bleeding and the ref isn't calling for time.

I have a hard time believing there is anything mildly wrong w/ the elbow if you can run around and hit 2 3's back to back.

Crazy. For all the Knicks fans that have been waiting for this moment, how do you feel now? i don't know what I feel exactly. Well, to be honest, I was leaning more towards D Wade for a minute there, and I still kind of am because of Wade's superior ballsack size, but I can't stop thinking that this is Lebron's excuse out of Cleveland, he wanted this all along, and this gave him an easy out.

Crazy how Lebron can throw up a triple double with 20 points / 20 rebounds and still have a 'bad' game. But that's exactly what it is so far.
