Since when? Since forever. The majority of title winning teams had Center's who were dominant on at least one end of the floor.Originally Posted by chanman7483

Durant has the stats but he isnt near McGrady's prime level. Also, IMO, Kevin Durant is already at where TMAC was in his prime, minus some muscle and a nasty streak. Yes, I know TMAC has the mental/lazy/injury issues, but the magic didn't lose b/c of anything TMAC did or didn't do.. they lost b/c their second best player Grant Hill was hurt the whole time and he had to work with Mike effing Miller as second banana.
Find some of Tracy's old games back in the early part of this decade. Only Kobe had more game that McGrady and considering who Kobe is, that is something.
Crazy how quick his feet were for a big man. If he could shoot free throws, he would have averaged at least 40 per game in his prime. On a side note, I Was watching NBA TV and watched a playoffs game with Shaq when he was at his peak with the lakers... WOW. I didn't truly appreciate how much of a monster he was. No one stood a chance against him.
Teams wouldnt have fouled him as much if he could shoot and that would have led to so many more dunks and lay ups.
Joy to watch when the playoffs came around and he and Kobe would turn it up a level.
