Spurs pull of a pretty big trade.

The Milwaukee Bucks agreed to trade Richard Jefferson to the San Antonio Spurs for Bruce Bowen, Kurt Thomas and Fabricio Oberto, a Bucks source told ESPN.com.

Great trade for the Spurs. Duncan's on the downside and isnt as great as he once was....Parker was their only other scoring threat.

Jefferson is a guy who can create his own shot and take alot of the scoring burden off Duncan and Parker.

    Jesus Montero since June 1 (286 at-bats):
    .325/.386/.605/.991
    July 1 (182 at-bats):
    .348/.417/.658/1.075

The Timberwolves have traded Randy Foye and Mike Miller to Washington for Etan Thoamas, Darius Songalia, Oleksiy Pecherov and the 5th pick of the 2009 draft, giving Minnesota four first round picks.

    Jefferson - 18ppg, 5 rpg, 3 apg. 47% fg and 35% 3pointers for his career.
Gasol - 19 ppg, 9 rpg, 3 apg, 52% fg for his career.

That is not a lot at all.

Point being is that they got RJ for nothing, just like how they saw we got Gasol for nothing even though his brother has proven himself to be a good player.

If im the Wolves i trade Love and the 28th pick to the Grizz for the #2 and take Thabeet. The Grizz really need a Pf and the Wolves could use a defense first center so Al can move back to his natural position of Pf. I know they recently worked out Evans as a point guard and he was by far the best player that took part. They could also take Steph Curry but i think they like Evans more and Rubio is somebody they really want.

They could go into next year with a lineup of Rubio/Evans/Brewer/Al/Thabeet, thats a really nice balance of offense and defense. They could also take someone like Austin Daye or Sam Young at 18 which gives them another Sf for whenever Corey Brewer gets hurt.

If I were Minnesota I would package the 45th, 47th pick, 28th pick and if need be bench player for a pick in the early twenties.

Then, I'd draft Evans, Curry, Teague and Sam Young.

Then they'd have a long-term starting lineup of:

    PG: Evans
    SG: Curry
    SF: Young
    PF: Love
    C: Jefferson

    And a bench of:
    Teague
    Telfair
    Carney
    Gomes
    S. Williams

First there was the rumor of Rondo to the Suns for Amare.

Then it was Rondo and Ray Allen to Detroit for Hamilton, Prince and Stuckey.

Now it's Rondo to Memphis for Conley and Gay.

That's apparently the rumor. I don't like it at all. There is the whole "Rondo will look for a max deal/trade him before he walks" thinking, too.

THere's been talks about Parker to the Celts for Rondo.

I wonder how Lebron feels about the whole RJ trade. Sure, RJ isn't all that, but he sure could've used him against the Magic. Meanwhile, the Spurs get him for Bruce Bowen and Oberto. Cavs management is horrible (His best complimentary player in 6 years has been Mo Williams), Lebron is starting to realize this, and he will be a Knick in 2010. I love this.

BTW my Friend just saw Patrick Ewing in a North Jersey CVS. He was looking annoyed, fidgeting with his Blackbery Bold, and in the middle of buying 4 bottles of baby oil.

Celtics fans----why on earth is Rondo mentioned in trade rumors? This guy gets better every year and is on the verge of superstardom IMO. He is young and hasnt even entered his prime years yet.

He essentially averaged a triple double in the playoffs this year. He is basically a consistent jump shot away from being perhaps right along Paul as the best PG in basketball.

Why would you trade this guy? The Celtics should be trying to build the team around Rondo...esp since "the big 3" are all past their primes and now on the downside.

If Danny Ainge trades Rajon Rondo, it will backfire in a nasty way.

Forget about the Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen deals, if you trade Rondo Danny Ainge, you're screwed.

Shaq to the Cavs is a joke. If they think they had problems guarding Orlando's front line this season, they have something else in store for them next season.

Somewhere, Lebron is crying himself to sleep tonight.

Because at some point in time, the Cavs will be wheeling out on handtrucks the corpses of Shaq, Big Z, and Anderson Varejao. At the same time. On the same team. Can't teams pretty much triple team(or field some kind of ridiculous zone) LBJ with this line up on the court with fear of any kind of reprecussion? I feel that this trade made them worse just by having Shaq step on the court... regardless of how little they gave up.

At the point, Shaq is only effective if you give him the ball and he pounds and pounds and pounds away in the post. Ball movement will come to a grinding halt(moreso than it did w/ Big Z pounding away), I don't believe the Cavs have the shooting to make teams pay if they had to double team Shaq, and I think Shaq is still living in 2002. Yeah he averaged 18 points last year, but that's w/ Nash hand feeding him the ball and him getting every touch down low, with Amare being injured last year.

Maybe this twin towers thing works and they will make me look really stupid, but I seriously doubt it.

Mo Williams is an adequate point guard and their bigs are decent, but they really need another scorer to complement LeBron.

    Their bigs are horrible.

37, injury prone, and can't play defense like Shaq used to.

I say that the Suns won this deal in my eyes.

Shaq and Z are going to split time to keep them both fresh because they both wear down a ton, I dont think they'll be on the court together much at all

Okay trade for the Cavs. Shaq can still score and you have to respect him when he has the ball or when he moves into position for a pass. In that sense he might open things up for LBJ. That series against Orlando was painful - give Lebron the rock at the top of the key... when he drives, collapse on him. It was like how the Pistons used to play Jordan.

In a series against Howard or KG (assuming KG isn't done and done) Shaq will get dominated on the boards. His defense is little to speak of now as well. This will give them a better chance but it is unlikely to put them over the top.
Negative. His cutter is not a human pitch, even he says he does not know why it moves like it does, says "God does it." I believe him.

It may improve them slightly but not enough to win anything. As a Knicks fan I feel like Lebron just got 1 step closer to the garden because if this is their idea of getting him some help it's very sad and he'll soon realize that.

That's my point, Jace. At least Ben Wallace knew to get the hell out of the way. Big - Z is semi-okay for a Lebron Offense because he can move out to 3 point range (from the corners) and make a shot. He keeps his body out of the way. Shaq is going to plant himself down low and demand the ball when he is out there. What else is he going to do? Run a high pick and roll?

It's unclear to me if Shaq can even dunk in traffic anymore. Sad to see him running around throwing up that BS skyhook and bricking lay ups these days.

He's not the same, no question, but he and Kobe Bryant were by the best duo in the league for like 5 years running. He knew how to play with him. He played with Wade and won a title immediately. He's not going to hurt LeBron. This trade makes them better, I don't know how much, but they did win 66 games last year

Hes got a 17 Mil player option for 2010/2011. T-Mac comes off the books after this coming season at 23 mil.

The New Jersey Nets are in serious talks with the Magic about a deal that will send Vince Carter and Ryan Anderson to Orlando for Rafer Alston, Tony Battie and Courtney Lee, two league sources told ESPN.com.

I'm not going anywhere: Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur stay with the Utah Jazz.

    Tons of Celtics rumors.

Celtics are apparently in on Rasheed Wallace and have KG in his ear.

Marbury wants back in, too and the C's have interest.

They made a qualifying offer to Big Baby, but didn't make one to Powe.

They might be looking to sign Grant Hill.

And Eddie House decided not to opt out.

The Celtics are targeting Wallace with the midlevel exception and sources say the team – which could be willing to pay a steep luxury tax – is also pursuing Phoenix’s Grant Hill. Sources say that Celtics management met with Wallace late last night, and that they would be followed with a visit from the coach, as well Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen. Garnett and Wallace have a close relationship.

Both of these moves need to happen.

Sorry, but Rasheed and Grant Hill aren't the answer to the Celts problems...
